Cloke for Buckley

Cameron Cloke's potential lack of opportunity has forced the blues to make a trade with the demons. After short negotiations, Brett Ratten and Dean Bailey agreed to a straight swap of Cloke and young defender Simon Buckley. Brett Ratten said "Although we are disappointed with losing Cameron, we are delighted to welcome Simon and bolster our backline stocks.

Daniel Kerr is sick of the Melbourne Football Club already..

Only hours after being traded to Melbourne Daniel Kerr's management have come out publicly and have requested a trade. Due to the financial woes at Melbourne, Kerr is concerned about the club being able to afford his huge contract. Melbourne have come out quickly and stated they will need some quality players or very high picks to trade him anywhere.

Cameron Bruce - wants to play in a premiership before he retires
Brad Miller - wants to play with a midfield that will give him good delivery
Brad Green - has declared that he wants to be traded to Carlton, Richmond, Sydney or Essendon
Colin Sylvia - wants to leave Victoria, doesnt care where he goes as long as its no-where near his ex girlfriend

As Melbourne was on the verge of building a side that could contend for a top 8 position in 2009, coach Dean Bailey is very upset at the circumstance; "I thought Melbourne was going great guns!". Needless to say, it should continue to be a frantic trade week for the dees.
 
Carlton reveals they are open to offers on Walker

Carlton are willing to trade former #2 Draft Pick Andrew Walker. It is rumoured that coach Brett Ratten is looking for a small to mid sized "sweeper" and a pick in return for the young'un.

Hawthorn coach Perth Swans has announced that the club is keen on drafting Murray Bushranger Jack Ziebell to the club. The Hawks don't have an early draft pick, so they are trying to get one. In their search for one, Hawthorn have placed captain Sam Mitchell and half-forward Michael Osborne onto the trade list.
