The thing is Saintly, in Australia bears are cute things that live up trees. This is Australia where the truly menacing predator is The Croc.

The hour is nearly upon us. Crock O'Clock is coming.
I can feel a croc attack

If I'm reading this one correctly, it is a not-so-subtle reference to TheGreatGrundy and his unrelenting but ultimately ineffective campaign to diminish the achievements and prospects of Bear...
FFS I love the Bear!!! It's just that he seems so indifferent to achieving any success at AFL level this year!

From the Collingwood website from Scott Pendlebury.

With places in Collingwood's midfield at a premium following the acquisition of Dayne Beams, inside ball-winner Brayden Sier has a bit of work to do to break into the team.
Sier, who featured in the Magpies' Grand Final team, played in last week's VFL practice match instead of being picked to take on the Blues.
"With Brayden it's similar to what happened last year, we've got a really deep midfield and with him he's still a chance for round one," Pendlebury said.
"He doesn't have a niggle so he's got to keep working, find out his best footy and how he can help the team and go from there."
Euphemistic nonsense covering up his lack of preparation and ambition.

That is an African Croc, and it’s probably about to be ripped to shreds by that baby hippos mum.

SV Believe what you want to believe and I will do the same. The fact that Sier has had no known injuries and is not even close to selection makes me highly suspect that something is amiss.
I'm with you on this one TGG.
There is more to this than what we are being told.
This is not simply a case of a niggle or finding form.

If measured in weeks, we actually have no idea how far he is from being selected. It could be 1 week, could be 20.

In terms of this week, it’s reasonable to think he was not in consideration and therefore infinitely far away from being selected this week.

Last night's success confirmed what Pendelbury and Buckley said. There is no place for him in the team because of team balance, Beam's has the spot and is going well. Nothing to do with injuries, attitudes etc. Sier is collateral damage of the Beam's trade and they wanted to put him of ice for the year or wait for injuries to the midfield. Lyon said 'he was looking out for the kid' in the interview with Buckley (went to School with Sier's Mum). That is code for give him a fair go or I will advise him to leave and he is a great fit for many clubs. Bucks sounded surprised at the connection. So, with Beams back and playing well and Sier out of contract at the end it makes things very difficult. Sieir knows he is more than good enough for a Senior footy. Interesting to see how it pans out. He is going to cost more to keep now and that is no sure thing as you don't poke a Bear.

hope thats not the case mate. Losing Sier (a 10 year player) and 2 first round draft picks for Beams would be a very poor investment. Sier is one of the few on our list who provides some midfield grunt and a must keep.

So last week when Beams was sick, it was Mayne causing the team balance issue that kept Sier out?

Your truths are guesses.

Probably, but only because Wells will play wing which has a gaping hole left in it due to Mayne's injury.
I’d argue the wings with Sidebottom and Phillips look even better now.

He’ll get his shot, as long as he keeps performing in the VFL. Players get injured, e.g. Treloar’s double hamstring last year, players get rubbed out, players get tired or lose form. He’ll get his chance and then it’ll be up to him to make the most of it.

Pendlebury and Beams won’t be around forever, we’ll do what’s necessary to make sure the next generation is there.

So is "Sleuth1" Barrett, Ralph or Gary himself? I know it's not Caro because there's been no mention of drugs or the mafia's involvement.
So much information....so little time...so much intent to cause inflamation.
I'm pretty sure EVERY club has a player or players not currently getting a game in the ones. Go see what their contractual arrangements are mate. It's week 4 for goodness sakes. Stop trying to upset people for no reason...just to get clicks.

If you want another bit of Instagate, a grand total of zero posts on Instagram by any of the boys, the club or the media about last night's win have been liked by Sier, but have been swarmed on by other Pies players who did not play.
