Nothing he did was illegal, and we’d all have made comments online at some time or other that we’d prefer we could take back. Sier just has an AFL megaphone attached to his statements, and people prepared to plaster private conversations publicly.

I never mentioned charges, I do however see a suggestive pattern of behavior.
That behavior is not what is expected of a professional footballer.

I don’t have the context but if this was a DM, i.e. what should essentially be a private conversation, and she’s gone with that approach and then posted it publicly, I’d say he has more reason to be aggrieved than her. Messaging a random on the internet is different to being spoken to that way in person (assuming he even would, which is frankly unlikely, the rules of engagement are just different online), if you feel intimidated or offended you can simply end the conversation…

To label him as "misogynistic" for insensitively propositioning a girl on Tinder is poor form and a casual misuse of the term.

I'm sure Sier is far from the only player reacting (you can see his emoji at the top) to lots of random women's Instagram posts/stories and then propositioning them when they respond. The difference I would hope is that every other footballer would accept that they're not interested and move on.

The fact you’ve put it as “consult” rather than discuss with my “wife” on top of your attitude towards my comments tells me everything I need to know about you and your attitude towards women.

No I absolutely agree that Patton’s behaviour was much worse and that’s why I said it was Patton type misogynistic behaviour not that it was as bad or that Sier is a misogynist. I disagree that it’s not fair to compare the two because both have little to no respect for women on the basis of the private messages that have been published, but I think it’s healthy to at least discuss this.

Sweet I did think you were going in general play rather than that convo. No evidence, but as I said earlier the casual confidence with which he went there suggests it’s absolutely not isolated.

Anyway I’m out this thread is beginning to attract some types with views that are well beyond my taste so enjoy!

I'm not sure how to 'tag' someone, but Kappa has really dropped off. I thought he would be all over Robbo's 'illness' requesting proof whether Robbo did in fact have a heart attack.
