Brennan and Rischitelli

Doesn't really make much sense. Surely once a player nominates to enter the draft it's just open slather? How can you deny a club the right to select someone?

Sounds a bit suss to me.

AFL can apply whatever rules they want. Their game, their rules.

Looks like Risha will probably be playing for a Melbourne club next year.

What's his value?

well brock mclean went pick 12...so about there or better.

The Bombers or tigers could do the following:
Their 1st round fo Risky & lions 3rd round?

The Doggies will go for him if they lose Griffin...Their 1st round & 2nd Round for Risky and Lions 3rd round?

Well everyone around knows that brock mclean was the biggest rip off for a while...

But i see riska's value around the mark of what you said..

Would you consider Houli + 2nd round?

Or Houli + another player like NLM or something like that?

I dont think Essendon will be trading away their first rounder thats all...

Will be interesting come trade week, to see how many other clubs are heavily interested!

Yep it's open slather....keep in mind that the allocation for spots in all drafts are alloted as to where a club finishes on the ladder from the previous season ....Obviously that doesn't apply to a new entity and is why the AFL awarded spots in this years and last years National and Rookie drafts..(no mention of the PSD in those concessions) .
Instead the AFL have given them extra coinage and first right to select up to 10 previously listed players and 16 uncontracted players.(One per club) .Given that the PSD is for uncontracted players..allowing the GC selections in the PSD as well as the allocated concessions would be double dipping..and hardly open slather to the other clubs.and would give an unfair advantage..

I think Richmond would be very keen to get him. Hardwick has stated a number of times that we need a quick outside midfielder.....
Tambling trade for Risky and maybe shuffle a couple draft picks between the 2 clubs?

He is not a quick outside midfielder. He is a hard working tackling machine who has improved his disposal this year.

Why would Brisbane want Tambling...what has he done of late?

I would take Tambling for Rischa. He fits our needs very well.

Rischitelli is a slow inside mid fwiw who has no hurt factor on his disposals. He has upped his work rate this year though and is capable of getting plenty of it.

The Lions midfield going forward will be structured around Rich, Rockliff, Redden, Harwood, Bartlett (hopefully) and this year's first rounder with perhaps Beams thrown in there as well. Its a few years away but it does have a nice balance and it looks more encouraging than it has for a few years. I also expect Banfield to move back onto the wing and perhaps Hanley as well.

As much as I wouldn't mind Houli, it's tough for me to evaluate what would even it up. Rischitelli would probably be rated a mid to late first round pick, while Houli (I estimate as someone who's on the outer at his club) would be a third round pick at best. It's tricky to balance that out. Plus I don't get the impression of Houli as someone who'd leave Melbourne if he could avoid it.

Tambling trade for Risky and maybe shuffle a couple draft picks between the 2 clubs?

Probably fair-ish, depending on how the draft picks fall out. One's fairly talented but can't get it out of him consistently, the other's doing very well in getting the best out of not a supremely talented package.

No bloody way would I want Tambling for anything more then a 3rd round pick!!!! Sure we need a outside mid, but he hasn't proved his worth and I doubt he ever will. I would much rather get ex-tigers player Krakouer from the WAFL for a very late pick or PSD.

Risha + our 3rd rounder for your 1st?

Would you consider Houli + 2nd round?

Probably not. We already have enough players who can't hit a target. Risha for your 2nd and 3rd?

Or Houli + another player like NLM or something like that?

No thanks. Picks only.

Risha + our 3rd rounder for your 1st?
No ****ing way, do we get lube with that?
He is a good player but in no way is he worth pick 6 or 8. Third round pick is irrelevant as well because it will be around 40ish.

Voss has really had an impact up in Brisbane.

He has cut loyalty adrift through his manic trading last year.

Now the Fev + Pick 27 looks like costing them:

Lachie Henderson (20 yo, 10 yr KPP)
+
Pick 12 (Kane Lucas, who looks fantastic)
+
Bradshaw (wanted to play his career out at BL)
+
Rischa (crossed once and not again)

Myth. Bradshaw would've left anyway to take a three year contract at the Swans over the one year we offered him (and good for him, if he'd played for the Lions on the Gabba surface he probably wouldn't have even made seven games and be retiring this year). Rischitelli (and Brennen) almost left three years ago because of big offers from down south and only stayed after we paid over the odds to keep them so it's not really a big surprise either of them going. Disappointing yes, but I wouldn't attribute it to Voss - I'd attribute it to our lack of success, period. Brisbane has had issues keeping a hold of players since 2005 unfortunately - it's hard to live out in the middle of nowhere (relatively speaking) when you could be in Melbourne on more coin and closer to your family.

GC is not in the PSD people.
I am pretty certain of this

agree im pretty sure g.w.s get the first 6 picks in the psd draft,

as gc got the first 6 last year when they took harris, stanley ect ect

ive heard that the bombers are talking to risha after the game this weekend, also same bloke said stanton looks kikely to leave would this work

stanton + 2nd round

for

risha + 1st round

Bradshaw wanted to stay, but had no place in the team when BL recruited another FF. Remember, he went into the PSD and took his chances, not exactly the act of a guy who was looking around for a better deal.

Rishca and Brennan departing for another Queensland team on more money is the clearest indication of Voss' loyalty erosion. They are taking more money because there is nothing else binding them to the club.

If he'd wanted to stay regardless of the cash, he would've signed the deal we had on the table before trade week.

...and since the GC can't take both players, you've already proven you have no idea what you're talking about.

Have you read the rest of the thread?

Bottom line: Voss paid Bradshaw, Risky, Henderson and pick 12 to get about 150 goals out of Fev ... if you're lucky.

We might have got the **** end of the stick in the McLean trade, but by comparison you blokes got a roofing beam stirred through a Werribee crap vat.

Krakouer wasn't and still isn't an outside mid, and turning 28 in season 2011, I'm sure he never will be. He's a small forward who crumbs the pack marking contests, didn't have the tank to be a midfielder of any capacity.

Are you talking about Krakouer or Tambling? You kind of sum up my point...we aint going to trade away for a guy when their are other options for free ;)

GC could put the nail into Brisbane's coffin.

They know that Brennan is considering his options and it seems fairly certain that Rischitelli will leave.

Imagine if GC choose Brennan as there uncontracted player and then Rischitelli goes into the PSD.

This is a plausible scenario.
