I'd be lying if I said it didn't hurt. We aren't the first team to miss out on a father/son selection, but it certainly hurts when the player is a bonafide gun, Geelong fans will understand the feeling.

No animosity towards Murphy at all though, if Fitzroy still existed I have no doubt Marc would have been a Royboy.

He should be a Hawk.

His dad should have gone F/S to us, and hence another dynasty. But what do you do. There are alot of what if's in football, this is just one of them. Who knows he could turn out to be a dud, its doubtful but still possible.
