Port v West Coast

3. Embley (WC)
2. Cox (WC)
1. Gray (PA)

the first two almost pick themselves, Gray seems to poll when he kicks a few and his first half was electric.

Gold Coast v Carlton

this is really hard to pick, about the only certainty is no GC player will poll

3. Judd (Carl)
2. Murphy (Carl)
1. Yarran (Carl)

could easily have missed the three players here, though, but suspect at least two will be in it.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Garlett in the mix for the Carlton votes, but is really anyone's guess. Carlton were never under pressure and I think votes could go anywhere

3. Goodes
2. Bolton
1. McGlynn/Mattner

3 to Goodsey changed the game in the 3rd
2 to Bolton kicked some very important goals and did some nice grunt work around the umps.
1 to McGlynn was everywhere when the game was on the line. Mattner did a fantastic job in the backline just really stood out back there.

may i ask how you have had time to watch every match

I'm trying to watch every match this season but tbh i dont think it will happen as its a lot harder to watch a match once you know the result and who are the likely vote getters. Having foxtel and being able to watch the matches online helps but really its a massive task.

My votes are quite similar to roo2macca's.

How can you give votes for a match you haven't seen??
Word of mouth, other peoples' votes, stats, match reports. The past few years I have watched at least 5 games every week. This year I'll be too busy but a lot of us normally do pretty well even if we miss 1 or 2 games each week. A lot of guesswork but it's close enough.

As i dont have Foxtel i cant watch most of the games and i currently have slow internet so i cant re watch the games. Probably not the best to see the votes on here then watch the game after seeing votes you are most likely to watch those players more closely and miss on one for yourself.

So i only do votes one the games i watch.

To the people who saw the collingwood game. Was it a toss up between swan and pendle for the 3 and you went with Pendles cause of polling history? Or did Pendles actually stand out more then swan.

Pendles was clearly best on. Swan did nothing in the first qtr when Pendles got about 10 possessions. Swan had a good 2nd qtr but Pendles really should get the 3 this game.

18 disposals is good hate to see what he has to get to have a great quarter.Anyways I agree Pendles should get the 3:thumbsu:

A few games which i found it hard to make my mind up.

I have Embley, Murphy and Swan leading on 5 votes fwiw.

Was up in Qld for the Blues Suns game for the weekend so only saw a few games this week. Here are my votes for them:

St Kilda v Richmond
3: Deledio
2: Grigg
1: Milne/Armitage

Deledio was a stand-out and won the Ian Stewart medal so should get the 3 votes. Grigg (although I hate his guts) played a very good game and last quarter. Milne was everywhere in the first quarter and him or Armitage who was good all night should get the 1 vote.

Gold Coast v Carlton
3: Judd
2: Yarran
1: Gibbs/Murphy

Judd was Judd and the umpires love him. Didn't do anything wrong all night and got plenty of the ball and kicked a couple goals which won't harm his chances. Yarran was great off HB and had plenty of run and carry which should make him stand out. Gibbs and Murphy racked up heaps of ball and played very good games. Walker or Thornton could take a vote as well.

Melbourne v Hawthorn
3: Rioli
2: Suckling
1: Burgoyne

Rioli played a good game over the 4 quarters and stands out with his type of play. Suckling was awesome in the 3rd quarter when the game was won and Burgoyne played a good game with 4 goals. Should be those three but not 100% confident on the order

Have posted my votes up here.

Am doing it a bit differently this year as i discussed. Giving a few players from each match a vote range rather than a straight 3-2-1 which is hard to get right. This week there were a couple of locks, i think Deledio, Pendlebury, Griffen and Goodes will all get three votes. Embley and Enright likely to get three also.

The other games were a little harder to pick. The Carlton game should feature Gibbs, Murphy and Judd in the votes, but guys like Yarran, Gartlett and Walker were good. I think you have to include Judd because he is such a good vote getter.

Anyway my current count looks something like this at the moment...

  • Marc Murphy 4-6
  • Dane Swan 4-6
  • Dean Cox 4-5
  • Andrew Embley 3-5
  • Corey Enright 3-5
  • Jobe Watson 3-4
  • Scott Pendlebury 3-4
  • Jimmy Bartel 3
  • Adam Goodes 3
  • Brent Moloney 3
  • View full table

The numbers mean their vote range. So for example, Marc Murphy should be somewhere between 4-6 votes, Cox between 4-5 votes and so on.

no, but he pumped out his votes pretty quickly i thought.

i can see 4-6 matches, and will usually follow other people whose votes i respect to work out the other matches.
you are one i will check AG when i haven't seen a match
What AG said, some of my votes are based off other people's votes and match reports. In response to your earlier statement, I don't have the time to watch every game but I did watch 5 last weekend (there was a triple header in Adelaide on Saturday).

So the Carlton Collingwood game is almost over and these are my votes
3 - J Blair
2 - C Judd
1 - Really hard to pick this one - Between Scotland, Shaw, Cloke and maybe Dawes because of his junk time stats.

Im struggling to decide on the votes at the moment.

3. Judd
2. Shaw
1. Blair

Those are the three, just the order is the issue.
