is there a thread for the "Wtf votes" of the 2013 brownlow?
there are certainly a few I'm sure many would like to vent out...

There should be one, like others said:
- wtf at Ablett polling 1 against Carlton
- wtf at Roughead not polling a vote in the last round vs Sydney
- wtf at Crowley polling 1 in round 2 lol

I thought Ablett polling against Richmond was the biggest joke.

Surprised there aren't more big winners in here considering all the big team favs got up.

Finished 60 units in front on investment overall. swallow winning North Melb votes at $13 was a big result that had been very confident on throughout. did dip out on a few along the way (sloane, for example), and had ablett not picked up that ridiculous vote against carlton late in the piece, would have had at least a half divvy win on selwood that would have netted over 180 units, so very close to a really big night, but happy overall. vinidicated another year running about doing live round by round counts each week, its the only way to win serious coin on the brownlow.

only teams my tally missed in team votes were carlton (walker really surprised me here, didnt anticipate that one), hawthorn (had hodge winning here), melb (proving again that low teams should be avoided), richmond (cotchin really surprised me here also, my bad on that one).

in addition to the statue of mitchell that all bookies should fund, they should also be very grateful to Brownlow King this year for steering so many of the public into that outcome. my tally had mitchell on 14 and while he picked up 2 more, for him to start so short was total madness.

hopefully many in here won some serious coin and are cashed up ready for another assault in 2014 on it, I'll be back and ready by then to hopefully have another fun year

Im abit suss on that brownlow king guy, could have easily mentioned Mitchell just to get better odds on some1 else or even given some coin to say it by a bookie. To drop from 20-1 to 5-1 because some guy goes on T.V and announces Mitchell as his tip is ridiculous. Sheeple.

Best player in the team with the most wins who also has an insanely good polling history a good chance to win? You're right, that guy is full of shit!

It would have raked it in laying off Mitchell.

He shouldn't have received anything? EDIT: Oh right, didn't realise you didn't include Griffen in the $1.92.

Anyway, who the **** wouldn't arb off a $2500 free bet?
I don't know if this is completely 100% correct, but I don't think this bloke had ever had a punt in his life. He only signed up to Sportsbet to play the Dream Team comp, IIRC. He did ask for some advice, but at the end of the day he would have been happy with a return of anything over $2500. A couple of punters he asked did advice him to arb and pocket $1250 (roughly), but he was pretty set on backing something at around $2 to walk away with $2500. Can't really blame him.

Not really. Mitchell spent 2/3 of the season as a loose man across half back, and most of the time didn't get big numbers even though he was spare.

Anyone who watched Hawthorn games this year would realise that Mitchell's year was well below his previous two seasons.

to add to that list
-WTF luenberger polling a 2 in rd 22 off 17 possys 4 mark 2 goals and 22 hitouts ( minson had 15 possys a goal and 34 hitouts)
- T.Lynch kicks 10 gets 2 votes, if a player kicks 10 goals give him the ****ing three votes.
- C'oshea getting 3 agaisnt gws, there was 10 other players better than him.
**** ME, WHAT GAMES WHERE THESES GREEN/WHITE/YELLOW MAGGGOTS WATCHING!!!!!!

Mitchell2Buddy might be able to help here.

An astute bloke I know received a free $2500 bet for finishing as one of the runner ups in the Sportsbet Dream Team competition. He decided to throw it on a six player multi for most team votes. Five of his players combined for odds of $1.92. All five of those got him the chocolates. Should he still be happy that his fifth player was Griffen at odds of $1.06? He tied with Libba, so Griffen's odds should be $1.03 and not $0.53, correct?

This means according to you his return should be $2444. How come he has only received $44? Mitchell2Buddy, this just doesn't add up with your formula. o_O

Balmain is grinding his teeth while polishing his banzhammer.
