Will depend on how much footy he misses with his hamstring. Not a chance Essendon will rush their best midfielder back unless he's 100% ready to go.

Thats pretty much it. Still an outside chance i'd say, even if he misses up to 4 weeks.

He was equal 9th in the voting last year, essendon didn't have a great season. Still walked away with 16 votes. There arent too many who could take votes from him.

Will be telling how he pulls up though. So atm, "smokey" status for mine.

Get on Pendles is my tip, and I was keen on Judd all last year and made a nice profit on him.

I have put Pendles into my multies this year, had Judd last year and Ablett the year before so I have a good recent strike rate.

I think Pies are building slowly to ensure they peak at the right time and Pendles will rack up the votes second half of the year.

Pendles is a good tip, I'm thinking even Mundy could poll very well if he keeps up this form

Agree about Mundy but, I would never back anyone without previous history showing they poll well when they play well (Judd/Goddard is the prime example here, Goddard had a great year last year but still couldnt poll).

Anyone know how Mundy went in the games he played well last year?

I seriously think Watson would be leading at this point in time. Judd has been pretty good, but Murphy who is a definite poll getter has played as well if not better than Judd throughout the year.

Just give it to Judd. If he won it last year when experts thought he was only good enough to make the AA bench, he will definitely win it this year as this years form is superior to last years.

Actually his form was definitely better last year and the best of any year he's had at Carlton. It astounds me how underrated his season was...

Brent Moloney of Melbourne looks a good shot by the looks, as does Jobe Watson, Chris Judd, Joel Selwood and Adam Goodes.

Moloney has absolutely starred in a few of Melbourne's wins this year and should of locked in a few 3 vote games already. Its hard seeing a player like this winning a Brownlow given he isnt as big a name as some of his counterparts, but he has given himself every opportunity.

Goodes has had some great games and will be close, we all know he is like Judd and can poll votes pretty easily. Selwood was great last year and proved he could poll votes and he has been great again this year. Jobe Watson will of had a few best on grounds too, but this injury he has will really hamper his chances.

If WCE continue their form, then Priddis would have to be a contender.

Remember, WCE have been in every game thus far, their biggest loss by 16pts. Priddis will pick up a lot of 1's and 2's, with the occasional 3.
Hasnt got less than 26 disposals yet, and has been good in our close losses. If he can get more BOG's, and maybe score more goals, he is right in the mix.

The umps started to notice him last year as well.

That's pretty funny. Selecting Montagna ahead of Judd was a major gaffe that embarrasses the All Australian process. The real experts - the coaches - had him as a top 5 mid ... that's starting-18 and definite Brownlow material.

Agreed. His best year at Carlton for mine as well. Plenty of top of the league stats in 1st possession and contested possession, distance gained etc. His best games were early season when people were heralding his return to WCE form, however that was largely forgotten by the end of the season.

Brownlow thread on the stats board was pretty good last year. Plenty picked Judd and Ablett top 2 while most were left scratching their heads over media awards and MVP's.
