It started with Mike Pyke. And he seems to have thought, well if it works with Pyke, why don't I just do it all the time.
Off a step, worries him out of it, caresses it, coming baaaaack. this year it's "long leg". Watching the games this year and listening to them talking, all of them, I'm always thinking "You don't have to be talking now. There's no need to be talking now." But they are always talking.
Player's names, some background in the quieter moments, that's all you need. Let the crowd noise convey emotion too. Now it's what clever thing can I say to associate myself with this passage of play? And Bruce, "It's very VERY good" isn't clever.
