I’ll drop Dixon for pretty much anybody but Teakle does look like a forward who is ready to go and provide back up support for Hayes in the Ruck. That of course requires we actually play Hayes.
He looked okay along with Lord, his AFL debut may have to wait until Hinkley leaves.

He ran the game out well too, was still running in the last quarter on the biggest oval in the league.
It’s exciting to think we’ve got Finlayson, Marshall, Georgiades, Lord, Teakle, Visentini (and Hayes) to cover our tall forward and ruck spots into the next 5+ years.
Now to find the small forwards and mids to go with them.

Impressive debut by Teakle, handled correctly 
there should be plenty of upside to come with all 3 of him, Lord and Visentini, the latters one grab over head mark when running hard at the ball is a skill not many ruck types possess, particularly as a raw 18 yo.
Regardless of the strength of the oppo some of Lord's contested marking was exceptional, and he can't be too far off AFL selection.
I hope when it happens though he isn't thrown to the wolves and then dumped after 1 game with his confidence shot.
The other plusses for me are all 3 are probably ahead of where the bloke we gave to the swannies fpr sfa was at the same stage of his career, but the bigger plus is any potential coach replacement should be excited by what he has to work with.

At this stage dropping Motlop and replacing him with no one would improve us.

And at best, you'd probably be better at throwing out opposition defensive structure and getting time in to the guys who start on the pine.

Expecting that I'd last 4 minutes before that point is generous, but as I was puffing on my haunches and standing in line for the pie cart I still wouldn't be being any less effective than Motlop was on Thursday.
At sanfl level McEntee looks like one of the top up players. Not his fault. He's a solid sanfl midfielder we're trying to turn into prime Jakey Neade. Let him go back to Sturt where he'll be played in position under a decent coach and it'll be better for everyone
