If he was watching today's Fremantle durrby live and free on the AFL website, Brynn would've been putting his fist through whichever device he was watching it on. The Sharks have been flying this season, top of the ladder and with a great shot at ending a 12 game losing streak to arch rivals South Fremantle. They coughed up a good half time lead to be trailing by 5 pts at 3qt - the Bulldogs got the lead out to 14 points before the Sharks got two goals to bring it back to 2 points. Then they had a very gettable set shot to win it, but it missed the lot, seconds before the final siren went. I'm sure Brynn would have kicked it. We broke East Fremantle.

I’m sure he’s more happy that he’s on an afl list

At around 2.30 Brynn talks about statues in Northampton of local footballers who have made it to play AFL. Brynn says he is looking forward to getting a statue up there in front of the local pub.

Last year when they unveiled them, they are metal figurines not statues like at AO, my bother-inlaw's cousin in Northampton sent him this article about them. Pretty bloody great that since 1987 a small farming town of 900 people have had 9 players on an AFL list and all made it and played AFL games. Brynn said he is the 10th Northampton player to make an AFL list.

I doubt there would be more than 1 or 2 other towns in Oz of 1,000 to 3,000 people who have produced 1 AFL footballer for every 100 residents over the last 35 years.

Reckon you will have to play a game before you get a metal figurine Brynn not just make a list. I suspect they have had quiet a few more WAFL level players both pre and post VFL expansion in 1987.

I had previously told my brother in-law that Port want to make a premiership walk at Alberton as part of the redeveloped, so he sent off the article to the club and said maybe they could do something like this rather than trying to build statues, which are bloody expensive, given we have so many greats of the club that should be recognised. Article below is date 14 November 2021

For a small mid-west town of fewer than 1000 people, Northampton has always punched above its weight when it comes to churning out AFL stars.

And on Saturday, their sensational nine were celebrated with the unveiling of metal figurines on the main drag of Hampton Road outside the Miner’s Arms Hotel.

A total of 1718 AFL games, 1626 goals and five premierships have been won between
Geelong dual premiership defender Harry Taylor,
inaugural West Coast player Andrew Lockyer,
current Eagles stars Josh Kennedy and
Jamie Cripps,
Carlton co-captain Patrick Cripps,
Eagles premiership swingman Daniel Chick,
Fremantle champion Paul Hasleby,
former Collingwood defender Tarkyn Lockyer and
one-time North Melbourne midfielder Liam Anthony,
who are all proud to call Northampton their home.
.......
A new beer, called 9 Legends Lager, was also be launched at the Miner’s Arms Hotel in honour of the milestone event.
........
Hasleby said it was an unbelievable honour for all nine players, with eight there on the day, with Tarkyn Lockyer missing because of border complications as he lives in Victoria.

Quality footballers too. They are halfway there to a very strong town of origin side. Premiership/All-Australian key forward, key backman, midfielders. Brynn, like Harry Taylor a mature age draftee. Hopefully, he’s as good.

Some pretty handy players there.
