To be fair, any idiot could coach Collingwood successfully at the moment. They have possibly the strongest list in the history of the AFL. Facts don't lie; they've blooded 7 debutants and sit at the top of the ladder (not to mention having a younger team than Melbourne)
Can only beat themselves in September - injuries won't provide any obstacle, they've played more players than any other team!! Will win at least three flags over the next five years.

I think he coached the game against the Dogs as bad as I've ever seen. We just bombed it in long and played in to Mccartneys hands. The game needed to be slowed down when they got a run on but Buckley continued to let it flow.
Ridiculous bump. Why wasn't it bumped after any of the 8 wins this year?
Which run-on are you talking about?
The one in the second when they got to two goals up, and then we promptly kicked the next three in a row?
The one in the third when they got to two up again and we pegged it back to level in 30 seconds?
Or the one in the last when they got 20 points up and we bottled it down and kicked the next three?

Buckleys done a good job on the whole imo but only time will tell about his match day coaching.
I'd say THATSGOLD posts on any board cannot be taken seriously. Impossible to believe that his rubbish comes from a genuine Collingwood supporter.
This was a near 2 year old thread and he thought it worth reviving on the main board after a very disappointing day for our team, when we had been going very nicely. Whatever he's trying to prove, I don't get it. At the very least, THATSGOLD keep these discussions to our board.

FFS these threads are completely stupid when bumped like this. Even say you do blame the coach for match day coaching and think the loss WAS his fault, you would then have to attribute multiple other wins, i.e. vs Sydney to him "out coaching" Longmire with our effective loose man etc.
He's home. He briefly passed through Port Adelaide and Brisbane to get home but he's been home for a long time.

He passed on North before their good run too. Even if it is inadvertent you have to admit that he has the evasive skills of Pendles when it comes to sidestepping flags.
That's just sheer coincidence. That's not his doing and there was no way he could have known who was going to win flags 5-10 years later.
