In the end, Buckley doesn't want to leave and even IF other teams would be interested, we'd be able to match offers anyway, so in the end, he's not going anywhere if we don't want him to. So there's no need to re-sign him yet.

If the club doesnt show the confidence to extend him, how will that impact the playing group and their willingness to continue buying in to his game plan? Particular if the media catches on and then rumours start flying about another team wanting to offer him bug bucks? (Whether or not it happens, and expiring contract is open slather for media).

At what point would players give up on a coach if they dont think the club will keep him around?

Now i don't think this is a particularly big problem with Bucks and this group, but i think it does need to be taken into consideration.

Now i don't think this is a particularly big problem with Bucks and this group, but i think it does need to be taken into consideration.

I honestly don't think players give a crap about if the coach has signed or not. They only care if the coach is making them play bad.

Just because supporters like to analyse everything doesn't mean the players do. I mean most of them these days don't even watch other games let alone worry about the coaches contract. This is just rubbish the media writes to create drama and a talking point.
