i think i am going to give my Man Clarke a break, and go with someone else, i feel i might be the one holding him back... so, i'll go with best available. @ pick 30, i dont see many of the like sof Fyfe, Pav, Barlow being around, so i'll be picking one of last years newbs. Maybe Croz or Samwise Gamgee.

No mate, 'tis my fault he has stagnated, I picked him (with #3 pick overall in the BF Freo Buddy Draft!!) this year. I was looking o him to change my run of form, given I have previously picked as my buddies Messers Head, Tarrant, Shepheard, Shepheard, and Anthony. Sadly, instead of Zaaaaarke freeing me from my record, I tainted his performance, and he crashed and burned this year. So, this time round, I shall pick Pitt, Cry-tone or Faulks, and leave Zaaarke to others...

Zaaaarke will be a very good AFL player, I just hope we can hang on to him...

Not that hard, just make the guys with the last picks take whichever players are leftover.

Tough luck for them, but they should have thought of that before they drew such crap picks.

Everyone going on about their draft rank. It does not really matter what pick you have been allocated apparently. Just what draft group (and when you post) - like Seppo states if #24 logs in and posts first choice on Friday at 6pmWST = they get their man, even if #1 draft rank posts after that. So it is a free-or-all within that day's draft group for first post... strange but that's the apparent 'system' reading the rules...

That might have something to do with the way a randomiser works, see Seppo must've forgotten to tell it that you got in much earlier than the other guy so t forgot to factor that in when it was casting it's random order..

Alright guys, I'm about to go out to dinner then when it's 9pm I will unlock the picks thread and you can start posting your selection for those in the first round.
I will make an effort to instantly post the few proxy votes and they will take precedence over any others so check the selections made as I may not have the original player list up to date.

To clarify, can the first two picks select the same player. Eg. Fyfe, or do we have to pick all 45 players first, then the last 20 get doubled up? It would be a shame if all players didn't have a buddy so would be hard to administer to ensure it happened.

I actually believe that would be the best way to do it.
