Unfortunately it’s not really a free swing without the list spots would be rough on Kuek if he works so hard to get back then can’t play. Guessing would rule him out for even playing at peel because technically he’s not on freo list

Having 4 picks inside 25 in the national draft would have also made them think twice about picking
they have their eyes on something big in the end of year trade period

That Tom Hanily to Swans better not be the exact player we need, Paps clone according to Twomey

These draft experts always say nice things about everyone. Ablett and Shifter are cringeworthy on main draft night. Every player is going to be a superstar according to them.

I bet Hanily never plays an AFL game for Sydney.

Selecting Teakle might have put us on the road to solving multiple problems, both present and in the near future.

I trust in Sydneys recruiting staff tbh

Hanily seems to be someone who missed most of last year injured and was already talked about for this years draft when you google his name.

Could be an astute pick, remember Papley himself was a rookie

OFC he may never make it too but Kinnear shouldn't be doubted

Its always popular to trust the ways of the best team currently but I'm not sure Sydney have ever drafted a half decent player in the MSD.

Outside of Newcombe and Durham I'm not sure the other major 'success stories' are anything but solid bottom six in the 22 type players or simply duds.

Only players I was even remotely interested in either went before our potential selection or didn't get drafted at all tbh.

Swannies love a rookie though, MSD is just an extension of that.

They saw enough to put a player on the LTI last minute for him

Dno if he will make it but its an interesting one

Just saying they haven't been the strongest in the MSD tbh. We could probably count on one hand how many games Sydney MSD recruits have played (all of them combined).

Probably looking at Collingwood, Essendon and Hawthorn being strongest in terms of recruiting actual AFL players from the MSD. Not many other clubs have had more than one hit tbh.
