Wade as an opener? No. Rogers will be gone until Jan. Quiney has a FC average of 35. Dave Hussey is past it. White is a decent 5. Finch is a ****ing ******* at FC level. lol Christian is terrible, FC batting average of 28, bowling average of 36. Maxwell at 8? Top 6/7 or GTFO. Average of 35 with the pill says he should be a second spinner. Patto will either be injured or playing for Australia. Siddle will barely play for Vic. McKay is good though. Would much prefer:

Stoinis, Quiney, Hill, Handscomb, White, Wade, Maxwell, Hastings, Sheridan, McKay, Holland

And if I were to pick an XI domestically, it would be this:

Cosgrove, Hughes, Burns, Bailey (c), Wade, M Marsh, Paine (+), Johnson, McKay, Hauritz, Putland

So we'd have 2 players. SA 1, Tas 3, Qld 2, WA 2, NSW 1

Paine has had one good innings in a the two years he's been back. FWIW, his scores in the current Aus A tour have been 3,0,1,3,2,5,20*,13*,19,12. His keeping also hasn't been at its best since his return. Hartley comfortably has him for mine.

Fair enough on Hauritz. O'Keefe was the much better bowler in the shield last year but as you say, Ritz is test proven.

a guy who bowl 120kn at best an would avg no more then 30 with the bat ever in state cricket, only chance of him making it is in limited cricket or 20/20 sadly..shold take up footy again hehe

holland it may work having him the number 2 spiner,build his year an workload up big talent...

Again: he's 21 years old with a lot of talent with the pill and the willow. There are obvious flaws but to dismiss him as a fifty or 20 over cricketer is stupidity.

Yeah, Handscomb is a gun. Hopefully he and Burns can become the 3-4 Australia needs when Clarke retires. Hill could be the opener to foil for Warner IMO, good technique and patient

handscomb seems to be a talent but can't get the scores on the board. I think too much like finch, he doesn't buckle down and play the long innings in shield cricket. Too much 20/20 influence.

Christian? seriously? McDonald averaged 40 with the bat and 28 with the ball, Christain is about 40 with the ball and 28 with the bat....CV wtf ?
