that's almost a perfect setup if you're new to the game
m4 is extremely accurate and easy to use...not bad power either
bloc used to be my most hated level by a mile
but being a campfest with snipers makes it a silenced run and gunners dream...you can take out 3 of them at a time regularly and rack up huge numbers
headquarters without doubt will get you huge points
and i heard it was double xp this w/e too so might chuck it on now and have a look

It's not 2x XP at the moment.
I read somewhere that the Xbox Live is double XP this weekend and the PSN is next weekend, although it didn't seem like a very reliable source.
I also hate Bloc. My favorite is probably Downpour.
I played my first game of Headquarters in that tiny map with all the containers. Absolutely hectic!

and also on the infinity ward website it says double xp 12th-14th

I played HQ most of the way through. Rack up some monster points if you can get a run on. most points in a game on HQ (no challenges and no double XP) was 1250 on Backlot. So there are big points to be had. And yes it's double XP this weekend on 360. Was playing this arvo.
They will be realeasing the new games modes soon too (i thought it was this weekend, but they are not there yet)
im a bit of a search and destroy player, coz i find it easy to rank up points and i like the pace of it, its much easier, i just rank up a few guns then move on next pretige, i rarely play HQ or TD coz i fill theres no point coz i barely get any points except completing chllengers

Mark your calendars, word from FourZeroTwo is the Sept. 13th - 14th weekend, Double XP will be going on. Though not fully guaranteed to be happening during the same weekend, is new playlists being available (if they aren’t ready by that time, they will be coming very very shortly after).
The new playlists being tested include:
Hardcore Headquarters - “standard HQ rules w/ Hardcore Settings. Limited HUD, Increased Bullet Damage, and Friendly Fire Enabled”
Hardcore Ricochet Playlist - “Any damage a teamkiller attempts to do to their team mates is reflected onto themselves only. Therefore, if they attempt to shoot an RPG into the ground at the beginning of the match; the only person who will die, is the Teamkiller” (Also noted on FourZeroTwo: This playlist will include the variant for Hardcore Teamdeathmatch, Hardcore Search and Destroy, and Hardcore HQ)
Sudden Death Sabotage - “Sabotage with no respawns”
Second Chance Search and Destroy - “Search and Destroy with 1 respawn each”
Bare-Bones Team Deathmatch - “Team Deathmatch eliminates the excuses and takes it back to basics with standard Team Deathmatch with no perks, no kill streak rewards”
Multi-Bomb Search and Destroy - “Multi-bomb Search and Destroy starts every member of the attacking team with a bomb”
Free For All with Hardcore Settings - “Standard Free for All rules, with Hardcore mode enabled for extra damage, no HUD, and no health re-gen”
Team Elimination (Last Man Standing) - “3 round Team Deathmatch w/ no respawns. Switch sides each round”
At this point, I think all we need now is another map pack and Call of Duty 4 could easily outlast CoD: World at War.

That machine gun I was talking about is the RPD like you said, I'm using it now I've prestiged and **** its good. Better than the p90 IMO

but yeh i don't mind when i run out of ammo and pick one up (when it has red dot site)
it just MOWS through packs of players at mid-long distance but run and gunning it's just too bloody slow and crap at close range...not to mention you run so slow and sprint for so much less

My main stay is still my Ak47 or P90 but the RPD is one hell of a beast.
Have to say the gamemodes are sorta disappointing, just a hardcore twist to most of the original modes...wouldve preferred 2 or 3 new maps instead of that.

Nah it is better with grip than red dot sight, but the slower running really kills you. I love taking out snipers with it at sniper range especially when they try to hide behind a wall and you just shoot through it
Fair enough, i wasn't that great at S&D when i was prestiging and would not get that many points.
The other thing with HQ as you prestige is you get all the weapon challenges done super quick, as you can pull 40-50 kills average in a match, 60-70 in a great one and 120+ on Shipment
In regards to the new game modes, i have heard they have dropped a couple, like the multi bomb S&D

I finally got it!Haven't reached 7 yet?
My advice would be that you don't move around enough/stay in one spot shooting. If you do this you will never get 7 because people will realise where you are and follow the radar.
Keep on the move, don't always shoot when you see an enemy, only if you think you can kill him. Then you should reach 7 kills soon
It was in the level with the missiles coming out of the ground and I was playing a couple of players who were only around level 10.
I just sprinted to one place and hid behind something, when someone ran out I would nail them, and when another player saw him in a battle, he would run out and I would nail him. I just did that a few times, but I had to get a kill with my pistol and a kill with an AK47 with iron sights.
I was hoping I would go from 5 kills to 7 with my airstrike but I didn't hit anything.
Can someone tell me where I can fall 30 feet to my death to get some challenge XP?

i think that is Backlot. There is a shaft in one of the buildings. you just jump from the top down in to it. Also in crash if you go to the roof you could probably jump off i would think.
I've been loving the MP5 as lately. The fact you can walk at normal pace with the sights up can help quite a bit if you think someone is coming.
The RPD is a cool LMG though. I use those three guns.

Easiest place to do that is in Countdown, just fall thru one of the giant holes with smoke coming out of them and u will get the challenge.

I think it's the worst of the LMG's personally. Much prefer the Saw or M60 if i'm going LMG
Had a crack at double XP last night but every server was american dominated and had atrocious lag. Disappointing
And yeah, countdown for the freefall challenge
I used district and jumped down the well in the middle. would have looked like a ******** to anyone watching
