those teams last night were so ridiculously unfair lmao
i was on the phone for one and a half matches and we still smashed them 750 to like 220 etc....
the matchmaking system sucks and i hope is worked on before cod6 or even 5 lol
but yes the rpd definitely seems to be your gun

Main surprises to me is the scorpion dishing out more damage than most assault rifles, and the snipers being all more or less identical in power.
Rest seems logical enough.
the stats of the guns are slightly misleading imo
for example...you can look at that stats page and say that the the skorpion is the best of all of the smg's since smg's are designed for close range shooting....but in reality that gun is practically useless unless they are directly in front of you....
if they are approx 25-30 metres away or so...the damage is tiny and pretty much any other gun in the game has an advantage over you at even short to medium range...the clip is also ridiculously tiny (which that page shows as well) which doesn't help its cause
that stupid gun took me ages to crack the 150 headshots on
the m14 in that list has the highest damage of the assault rifles but is the biggest piece of garbage assault rifle there is...and is very rarely a one shot kill like the g3 does (with a lower damage rating)
either way...in the end it all comes down to what feels best in the persons control
but the stats page and the way the guns feel in a particular persons control are massively different things
edit: also...on another site i was shown agers ago it showed the effect of a person with juggernaut and a person with stopping power canceling each other out.
effectively having them as the exact same thing but i doubt that is the case.
juggernaut is almost a form of cheating imo and should be taken out of the game (even though it won't) the amount of times you see that medic box come up when a normal person would die from a grenade etc is astounding
also if they get shot in the side a few times and then can make it around a corner (that they were close to) they survive where a normal person dies...i used it a couple of times to see what it was like a while back and i took it off after dying about 3 times in 4 rounds racking up 35+ kills each time in TDM
(granted against average opponents) but since those few rounds i stopped as it literally felt like cheating
and that is my rant for the day

There's nothing worse than watching a team mate kill someone, and then running towards where his body lies, only for the grenade icon to pop when it's too late.

but i do agree with you...it's fukt that it was even thought of to be put into a game but pretty damn effective in cramped spaces and even though the more u play the less u get killed by it....
there are moments it's absolutely impossible to escape from which sucks
many massive streaks ended by martyrdom that bitch lol

Whats even worse is when people use it on hardcore.
If the said idiot with it equipped is in a group of team mates and gets shot, due to friendly fire being active it takes out all the team mates in one blow.

At the beginning i always did but found that the majority of time ppl were just giant immature morons who would use the oppurtunity to spout stupid or racist crap.
So lately ive ditched the mic unless im playin with mates and we r in a party. It makes a huuuge diffrence in most of the gametypes and i wonder why more ppl dont use it to their advantage?
Is it the douchebag factor or just laziness?

It really pisses me off when stupid yanks put their mics up to a speaker and start playing some rap or something. Team talk is invaluable, even if its just a few guys on your team working together its better than no talk at all.
If anyone is being a douche, on 360 its an easy thing to mute them. Dunno if you can do it on ps3. I do it all the time. You can even do it permanently by calling up their gamercard so if you ever get matched with them again you don't have to repeat the process

ok since we're boasting and since i'm kinda getting bored with the game i've been doing stupid shit like pistol, knife, grenades and airstrikes/choppers only and a few nights ago got a 17 streak doing that in stupid vacant
must say i was pretty happy with myself after that one
and regarding mics....i have one but never/barely ever use it
i can't stand the thing hanging off my ear when i'm trying to concentrate
so i generally only use it when my mate is playing on my account (even then i don't usually like to be on it)
and in randomly matched games there's almost no point as nobody listens (i know i don't)

What mic is it, bluetooth, wired, old headset?
The Motorolla H500 is my choice for headset, cheap, small and effective, doesn't feel akward on the ear either.
Yeh u can mute them on the PS3 as well and i find im doing that almost every game these days.
IF ur using a bluetooth headset then its hard to really notice its there sumtimes, alot better than the old headsets that cover both ears or the wired ones.

I play with the head set. It's good in hardcore cause sometimes the opp camps in one area and you have no idea where they are.
It's best when you have Aussies though. I haven't found the Americans too bad. They go for the "Fa*got" insult too much for my liking but a lot of them can be quite funny when not using that kind of language.
