Leaning towards that theory now as well, "Modern Warfare Remastered" sounds like MW1-3 campaigns remastered.

Not sure they can afford to splinter their MP player base across the new game and a remaster. Especially seeing as though supply drops and micro transactions etc are a gold mine for them.

Would they dare add MT to COD4 MP?

Maybe they add map packs to COD4 MP to make money?

If they released both with MP realistically how many would play the new game? stuff all ... and there goes all the MT profit$

If they do give COD4 I'd be surprised if they didn't make it so you have to have the new game disc in order to play it, they'd know how many would purchase, use the code and then either not touch the new one or return it.

Cant believe people are suggesting the remaster wont have multi-player. It's CoD, multi-player is a given. As far as splitting the player base, well it's no different to what DLC does currently. You purchase the game, Activision gets paid, if they were concerned with player retention, IW wouldn't be making another CoD considering how quickly people jumped off Ghosts.

So we will be enjoying CoD 4 multi in all it's glory come November and the esport loving adhd kiddies will have their jet booster space man duty to play.

Entry fee will initally be to purchase the new shit CoD to reward those who purchase with an exclusive period before being available as a stand alone purchase. It's a ****ing genius move for all parties involved and will more than make up for the Ghosts debacle.

Lets see how greedy they want to be. i could see a $150 season pass that includes maps every 2-3 months for both games. I wouldnt touch the new game.

It would of been better if they did a remaster of CoD4 and MW2 with maps and a season pass with re-mastered maps from both games. and didnt bother with some skill-less jumpy bullshit like CoD has become over the last few years.

I could live without the MW3, but it should of just been a remaster of MW1 and 2 story and the MP maps. it would of sold heaps and more would of played the story then whatever they scooped out of the toilet this year for the new game.
