Danny you’ve gotta admit you’ve lowered your colours a bit the last week or two, I see your posts and it’s like I don’t even know you anymore. It’s breaking my heart.

You also have to admit Morris has played better this season based on the games he has played compared to fritter. And fritter is melbournes best forward. I don’t think that’s controversial.

It’s also breaking my heart that you won’t acknowledge the preview I dedicated to you, I thought we were mates!
how have I lowered my colours? I won the Cam Rayner debate, so now we're talking about other players to change the subject.

Nah Fritsch has been significantly better than Morris.

Danny you’re better than this.

ok go on. make your case that Morris has been better than Fritsch. Fritsch has 28 goals for the season. Morris has 13.

If Morris is better than Fritsch than he sure as hell is better than Charlie Cameron who is averaging only 1.5 goals per game.

You have to go by this seasons averages because they haven’t played the same number of games. They’re basically identical in score. But Morris is significantly better in efficiency, goal assists and contested possessions all of which suggest a superior player.

That’s not even taking into account fritter has 140 games experience and Morris averages are based on the first 7 games of his career.

I don’t like this for banana fritter, he’s been a champion of the Melbourne demons football club, but facts are facts Danny.

It's not Fritch's fault that Morris couldn't crack the team. Because clearly if Fritsch played for Brisbane he's in the team. So number of games must factor into it. Why on earth are you factoring in games experience? that makes no sense. The clown said that Morris was better than Fritsch. That's not factoring in games experience.

7 games, kicking 30m out set shots, skews efficiency. meanwhile Fritsch is creating goals and doing so with a good defender on him. Using your silly 'efficiency' stat would put Morris better than Buddy. Come on, pick your battles.

Logan Morris vs Daniel Turner. Have a look at that first.

Danny you’re getting riled up now. It’s ok for banana fritter to have a bad year and be bested by a 19 year old 7 gamer. These things happen from time to time.

I admit I finally cracked and looked up who is Daniel Turner. Looks to be a third year key position type kicked 6 goals from 6 games this year and only 1 Goal Assist. Doesnt look to have been subbed out (although one game only played 65% so could have been). I think Morris has well and truely covered him. Actually looking at Melbourne's attack stats Morris would be about your second best forward at the moment and noone is calling for him to be dropped unlike Fritsch

Had no idea who he was either, just looked him up and he’s 22.

KissKiss, you're not kidding anyone.

So after 6-7 rounds, Fritsch is in AA form. Logan Morris has played 7 games right? So you're saying that his 7 games has been All-Australian calibre? LOL! let me know when you find people talking about Logan Morris as an AA forward :)

This guy rated paparone so he's now out of the discussion.

But to say a fringe player is better than a guy that was producing AA calibre footy for the first 7 weeks is laughable.

I’ve currently got my office door closed and am shaking with laughter that you found a comment from 10 years ago about Paparone from a specific poster and used it as rebuttal. It’s gold. It’s why I like you Danny you’re a funny guy.

KissKiss this is damning evidence of your disgusting pro-paparone bias, you should be ashamed.

Danny, I just realised for my demons game preview I had meant to do a paragraph or two on Gawn and Viney - both of who have been playing well and we need to put some work into. Would you be able to put something together and post it in the preview thread? You probably have a better eye for their form than I do.

I honestly don't think a review is really necessary. We're one of the worst teams in the comp on current form. Viney will crack in but his form hasn't been that great before last weekend. All of the talk around Oliver is way over the top. People saying how bad he is, yet sending their number 1 tagger to him each week. Doesn't really add up to me. I think Berry will go to him and blanket him pretty easily but without a tag I think he has a 40 disposal game just around the corner.

Rivers will play permanent mid and is probably one of our best mids in that role. Lever is back which should help curtail one of your talls. But I think the ease at which you bring the ball in will mean everyone gets a lick of the ice-cream. Judd McVee is one of our best players and will probably take Charlie Cameron, a big task but he usually does okay. Personally I would play Petty in the backline as he's got the extra height to go with the Brisbane talls. And sometimes the height can test May and Lever.

It'll be interesting to see if the dees play their defensive zone and if we allow Zorko to have all of that uncontested possession stuff.

Neal-Bullen was used as our tagger so I'd imagine he either goes to Neal or Zorko.

Yes, it will be interesting to see if the Dees can perform a basic required attribute of a modern game plan...

I can already see it now
Logan Morris this weekend attracts the Dees best medium sized defender. Has a quiet one.

Meanwhile Rayner lights up whoever else is left and kicks a bag. Danny will still be right in his take

huh? how can my take on Rayner be wrong when I correctly predicted his averages months before the season even begun when no Brisbane fans had the courage to? 15.0 touches, 3.4 marks, 0.8 goals. What was I wrong about?...

Danny have you tried Petraccas meatball sub recipe? Good to see he is up and about and making meatball subs after such a serious injury.

lol. Petracca is in my bad books at the moment. The way he friendly embraced Maynard pre-game was a bloody disgrace. The dees getting involved in a half time melee with the kangaroos was typical soft Melbourne. A complete mis-read of the room. That melee should've been reserved against the pies. A lot of Dees fans are still really peeved at the lack of response against the pies.

I think Dan should just become a Lions fan at this point, I'd welcome him with open arms if the Dees don't make the 8.

Get on board Dan while there's still time!

We'll even throw in a free Paparone Pizza.
