Give that man a contract extension now!

Have to say no, unless we're talking about them winning a chook raffle after the game.:D

Must be demoralising for Dees fans, they really don't seem to be making much progress. Another year like the last few years and Bailey would have to be in the gun, contract extension or not.

Melbourne will be lucky to win more than 4 games this year, just like last year. I mean sure, they were probably tanking last year, but even if they weren't, and say the priority pick rule didn't apply in 2009, would anyone honestly think they could have won more than 4 games last year? Who did they beat again last year?

Well they've managed to beat West Coast and Freo once in the last 2 years. Probably more due to them playing badly. I hope it doesnt happen again this year.

You wouldn't think so, and this time they play Freo at Subi, so apart from Richmond, who they play twice, where are the wins gonna come from? I looked it up and they beat Port last year at the MCG - this year they only play once at AAMI. They play North twice, once at the Dome, once at the 'G, so they might jag a win from one of those. I'm predicting 2-3 wins for the year for Melbourne. Can't see them beating anyone else.

At least we put up a fight in the first half, it was almost a training drill for the Hawks...

Havent seen any improvement in the Dees, and they have been rebuilding for 3 years. Their forward line today was shambles, but hopefully with Watts in there they might straighten up a bit. Bate had an absolute shocker today.

everyone's been a bit harsh on the dee's. Sure they were pretty ordinary today but they had just as many bloke missing today as the hawks did, particularly blokes like Jurrah, Wonnamirri, Watts, Blease, Sylvia etc. The Dee's will improve but their supporters just have to be patient. It takes time. Both the tigers and Dee's will start climbimng the ladder again soon just give the kids some time.

Dee's put up a fight in the 2nd half. You bloke lost to a side that will struggle to make the 8. The Dee's lost to an undermanned team that should be challenging for the top 4 by about the same margin. Both sides look about the same to me.
