For someone who spends so much time making posts and getting caught up in political agendas that are above their head - im pretty sure you'd have heard who Kruezer is by now.

And why would we be getting him??

Because we're favourites to finish last this year. Because we've received 2 spoons in a row and 3 in the past 5 years. Thats Why. Don't be naieve - we're not going anywhere fast, thats the harsh reality of it all, that not only you - but many others on this forum need to realize.

The sad part about this comment is: Ackland was probably the only ruckman who wanted to play for us. I happen to know we made an approach to Fab Deluca, Cam Wood and John Meeson - and its truley a sad indictmen on our club if we could only land Ackland a 196cm Ruckman who felt his position was under threat at his previous club, coupled with DMac who stands at 194 who was the same scenario in 2005 - pretty short ruck pairing.

Aisake - I love the bloke, but he's not AFL ready and alot of you footy nuff nuffs (im not throwing stones) are creaming prematurely. Good athleticism, good height (202cm), weighs in at 97kg now(FACT) - yet he's around 10 years behind most footballers in terms of skills development. But in saying that, he IS a better kick of the pill than Setanta.

Jacobs - good height (200 cm) but you have to ask yourself why he slipped to the rookie draft ? - minimal mobillity but that can be expected for a ruckman He didnt attend draft camp because he wanted to watch his SANFL club play in the granny - as he was dropped from the final. But again, I think he'll be ok - Hey AWG, remember Daniel Batson ?

Hampson - fair enough, I like Hampson, just needs to work on his skills.

And you're telling me we DONT need another genuine 202 cm ruckman with excellent Athleticism ?? Please, many on this board were on the Luenberger bandwagon if you recall. "An athletic ruckman is a real bonus" etc. Kruezer is Luenbergers equal - watch the tapes from last years carnival if you dont beleive me.

We are still the wooden spoon favourites.- FACT
We are the 2nd youngest side after Hawthorn - FACT
We have a board who cannot get their act together - FACT
We have a coach who 95% of this and other forums wanted gone - FACT
We are in serious financial trouble - FACT
We cannot intentionally land a big name player to our club - FACT (Nick Stevens doesn't count and Ackland isnt a big name).

In the meantime, feel free to keep reminding yourself (and others on here) daily "how excited you are". This is not a personal attack on you as such - I dont like the fact that I cannot express a realist opinion (Yes, I beleive we will finish last) without being told: "cut the tanking crap", "go support another team". It's utter hypocrasy.

We need to be realistic and the fact is we are most likely going to be finishing in the bottom 2 yet again. It will take a good few years before our list can grow into something to challenge the top half of the ladder.

We won't finish bottom 2, but there will certainly be improvement from now on.

Expect us to finish 13th or 14th with 7 or 8 wins in 2007.

Anything more is out of the question. For this year at least.

I wont be expecting to finish 13th or 14th. That expectation would be too high in my eyes. I have had my expectations high before, and have been let down. So in 2007, I will go into the season expecting nothing, except a few good performances from our young kids.
