Most on here bag a bloke like Cleve Hughes because he'll never fill Richo's shoes. Well here's the tip. If you can't draft a future champion buy one and Brown is the man. He'd be great for our Club even over 5 years. We can afford him.

If we don't get him we'll probably end up getting Josh Fraser in a deal thats see's Brown go to Collingwood.

I was using that as an example along with Nathan brown. To get JBrown we will need to give up our 1st rounder and much more, sure we can do that but all im saying is he is one major injury away from being another nathan brown, no thanks, not for 1mill a year for 5 years, too much risk.

and you just have to look at JB to see hes not the same physically. For mine too much risk involved and would say no for the price that will need to be paid.

1 mil a season , thats what the media reckons he's worth. Lets sign him to a nice fair attractive contract and have him represent our club on and off the field. One of the best blokes in footy and can play a bit. Would be great for our club. Take the risk its not really a risk

any player who isnt under 25 or 26 and his body aint broken and hasnt the skill or class that we desperately need, is totally out of the question for us.
Brown ticks only one of those boxes. We have to make sure, if we do get a player with trades, that he ticks all the boxes and if not, then we dont get anyone.
Brown was a cert if we were top 4 right now and fixing to make the big push next year. The end.

Kane Johnson peaked ealry with the Crows and his better years were well past him when he joined the Tigers and his soft tissue injuries got worse!

Even to be interested in Brown would be a freaking disgrace.

"Injuries" are a mitigating factor when considering a player when they are young. Not when they are ageing and play in a very hard position. The guy will be lucky to get one 3-voter this year. And some of us want to sell the farm to get him. Amazing.

I simply refuse to believe that he would be worth what we'd need to pay in picks and $$.

For our first pick we could go close to getting Warnock AND Mundy. I don't advocate that either, but Brown is a definite definite no-no.....

Mark my words, Brown will say after he retires that he really was finished after the age of 28.... it is a common theme among CHF's.
