I know you're a little slow Lance so I'll try and make this simple, Carlisle was technically still a contracted Essendon player. As such the player & his manager have contractual obligations to the club.
Further to that, Carlisle's manager wanted Essendon to pull the trigger on the deal. So wouldn't it have been in his interests to tell Essendon that a bombshell was about to be dropped so they'd get the deal done?

There should be an investigation by the AFL if The EFC are not guilty which from the outside we can't accuse them as they probably wouldn't know what Jake does in his spare time as much as Dyson. But the AFL need to investigate it and if I was the saints I would be demanding they do.
