Saints will give Carlisle a fresh start and hopefully a new outlook on life.
Unfortunately he has spent his footy career to date at a club where drug culture is entrenched and playing in losing footy games is a normal way to spend most weekends.
Essendon should be ashamed with how they drove poor Jake to drugs just so he could forget for a few brief hours the hellhole that was Windy Hill.
And don't give me the usual crap about Essendons umpteen premierships which were won when Jesus was a boy.
That pathetic excuse for a club has been irrelevant in footy terms for more than 10 years now.

the dumbest thing ever posted on bigfooty, congrats

How? It's true m9
hahahhahaha sorry he doesn't go to CQ mate, didn't know it was a crime. i love how he's getting characterised by this. :p:p:p classic BF

There should be an investigation by the AFL if The EFC are not guilty which from the outside we can't accuse them as they probably wouldn't know what Jake does in his spare time as much as Dyson. But the AFL need to investigate it and if I was the saints I would be demanding they do.
speaking as an EFC supporter I have no issues with an AFL investigation. Going on recent form they will send an email and say "please confirm you did nothing wrong" and we will say "nope" and they will issue a presser saying after a forensic investigation no guilt has been determined

hang on, what contractual obligations? Are you saying that Carlisle and his manager were reporting any and all actions to EFC? Honestly, walk me throught that please.
You do understand what a contract is?

If so, you must be aware they contain obligations and conditions to which each party must adhere?

So what's the confusion?

And you think the manager thought it was in their interests to tell EFC so they'd get a deal done. And that this resulted in... EFC standing firm on the offer more so than anyone thought they would? So their reaction to knowing Jakey was about to be exposed as a cocaine hound was to stand firm? Er...
As far as I've read nobody is saying Essendon knew. They are simply asking the question. A completely appropriate question to ask in the circumstances and given the timing of the story.

I think that's Essendons problem. You said "nope", which thr AFL took to mean "no, we can not confirm we did nothing wrong". Mystery solv-ed

What's wrong with a couple of disco biscuits and a boogie during the season? Leave poor Jake alone...

Mate, I'm fine with it. Makes him seem more normal.

I do, in fact, understand what a contract is. And, further, I am cognisant around concepts such as contractual obligation. However I am asking you what obligations you think are in a contract that enforce a player who has walked out of a club keeping them informed about his holiday plans?

I am trying very hard to understand how this half of your post doesn't contradict the previous half of your post. And if you think those questions are appropriate, why is it you take issue with me explaining it?

So what's worse. Snorting a line while on holidays or drink driving?

This is just all so wrong.

As usual the silence from the AFL is deafening. What a corrupt organisation!

Carlisle has stated he will undertake any education programs required....seriously WTF!!!!
He's been at a club under investigation for a drug program for the last 3 years.

Has this dumb **** learn't nothing????

He should be de registered
His manager should be de registered for failing to alert St KILDA
St KILDA should have pick5 returned
And Essendon***, smug bastards, who cares!!!
:thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown:

What? Which fact is wrong then?

Terrible attitude - Can't be denied now.
Severe Knee tendinitis - %100 Fact.
Ciggy smoker - Fact. Been seen by many King St regulars. Wasn't even trying to hide his smoking at a recent outdoor event.
Coke snorter - Was rumour before. Is fact now.
Cloud9/Tramp/Revolver regular - %100 Fact. Ask any regular. Can even find his old photos on clubsguide.com
Absolute moron - Snort coke on snapchat? Moron.
Only good games in 2013 whilst on Danks drugs - I meant to say his only good season was 2013. Which is true.
Dank wasn't at the club in 2013.

Drug culture at Essendon?

lol!!!!

correct. Prohibition on drugs does nothing else other than make available a basically infinite amount of money for organised crime. Drug use has existed since the dawn of time and will continue to exist as long as we are a species so it's ridiculous. Treat it as a health issue and not a crime issue. 98% of problems go away.

Can't believe some of the liaise fare attitudes about drugs.
You have obviously never had a child affected by drugs, and how much it not only ****s up there lives, but lives of their families and friends. These AFL footballers receive more education about the pitfalls than anyone else in society, yet are so pampered, and put on pedestals that they think they are above the law. People such as you perpetuate this.
Yeah let's legalise the shit and watch society go completely down the tubes.
There's a reason its's illegal......it's no good for you.!!!!

Typically disingenuous & moronic.

If you are cognisant of his contractual obligations then you understand the obligations re: disclosure (and no, I'm not talking about where he goes on holiday).
