That was stressful. I’ll share the unfolding events of purchasing a finals ticket through Ticketek later. M54, row V for Robbo and his children. It’s located around the players races of the old MCG. It was my mum’s favourite part of the ground to secure tickets. Miss you mum. I’ve seen Carlton win Grand Finals in 68, 72, 81 and 82 from this part of the ground. Hopefully it’s an omen.

I gave up after an hour and half of refreshing in a waiting room, so done with that rubbish ticketing system. But if you can be bothered, stay the course! I have family members texting me that are still getting good tickets even now.

First time in 20 years I will be situated in the Olympic Stand, it's always either been the Shane Warne or Ponsford stand for myself at the G

so depressing seeing grassroot supporters who are desperate to go, potentially missing out - tyre-kickers & theatre goers who haven't been to a game all year will just buy their bullshit party package, turn up at the last minute, spend half the night in the bar, the other half on the phone taking selfies with the "awesome crowd" and barely watch the game - it infuriates me beyond words...........every ****ing year

Spot on, and that is how I feel about Grand Final allocation every year.

The AFL and Gil justify it by saying all the money the corporate faceless people in suits who get tickets to the game goes into consodated revenue for all 18 clubs. Absolute horse crap

I’ve had to go back to bed and lie down for awhile. I dodged a bullet today.

After 40 odd minutes I was getting nowhere. Then Mrs Robbo to the rescue. She turned the wifi on her phone off, used her app and selected AFL finals tickets (not even the link Carlton sent!) and got through immediately. WTF. I then piloted the process from there. I chose my preferred category but couldn’t get 3 tickets. WTF, WTF. I then went up a category (extra $42 for the tickets) and secured 3 seats.

They are now sitting in Mrs Robbo’s account. Looks like I’ll have to be nice to her so she shares the ticket with me.

I’m off to make her a cup of tea and some lunch right now.

You have to throw a discus, chuck a javelin and run 100 m.
No biggie.

Was on ticketek using the same computer I was logged into last week trying to get tickets. After 15min in the waiting room, I finally get through to buy tickets.

Go to check out, need to log in. What I thought I changed my password to didn't work, so I reset. After taking 5min to send the 'forgot password' email, I now have to wait in the waiting room to be able to reset my password by which time my tickets have expired.
