*UPDATE FOR GRAND FINAL BALLOT SHOULD CARLTON QUALIFY:-

BALLOT EMAIL WENT OUT TODAY 18TH SEPTEMBER.

Then why does it show different bays as being available, depending on which barcode you enter?

I entered my Legend's Lounge code and I have access to level 2 (N).

I entered my daughters' 3 game interstate codes and I don't have access to the same areas.
Because any parameter you enter can influence what seats are made available: If you are a Carlton or Melbourne member; the quantity of tickets you are requesting; whether you are requesting best available or a specific category; the time you enter the ticket purchasing process. There's literally thousands of people purchasing at the same time.

That’s what it’s suppose to do

It keeps refreshing
Crashes is very different to refreshing. I know what it's meant to do. If you think this is what it's meant to do then, well I don't know.

Managed to jump on the work computer and got in and got tickets!

Unfortunately, there's no special treatment for Legends Lounge members in finals weeks 1-3 through Ticketek. I know 3-game members who accessed category 1 seating last week.
Your membership level does not help you skip the Ticketek queue. Ticketek does not know your membership level (or even if you are an eligible member) until you get to the front of the queue and enter the barcode details on the app/website.
The app/website then verifies you are a qualified recipient based on the barcode information provided by the club. You then choose which category of seat you would like to purchase in a Carlton allocated bay.
You are right - it's not entirely fair but well done on getting those tickets.
GF is a different story (if we make it of course).

The email we received from the club said as a Legends Lounge Member we get priority access to Cat 1 and 2 tickets?

Anyhow absolutely shithouse if that's the case and thankful we got tickets pretty quickly both weeks.

Glad to hear most people were able to get tickets.
I had to work today and no chance to get tickets. My daughter offered to get them for us.
She logged on just before 10am and after about 20 minutes got tickets. She put in best available and got Q52. I know it is top level but I told her to take the first tickets offered.
I know of a few other members who are in the same section.
Just happy to be there and cannot wait for Friday.

I think that you might have got the wrong link. I got the same when I clicked on the "buy tickets" from one of the clubs e-mails. I logged out and went back via the ticketec site and got the right link.

Glad that you got your tickets though.

The answer I got re this was, that Legends Lounge members do indeed get priority, but if you crashed out before payment went through, or decided against the seats, then those seats you'd booked will be held for 20 minutes, and then tossed back in to the pool.
At which point, any one can access them.

Some members can't afford 11-game memberships or live regionally where getting to every game is simply not possible. Doesn't make them any less invested in the club. Given what we've seen through COVID and the current cost of living crisis, I have a greater appreciation that we need to maintain access for all - AFL is a vessel for much joy, no matter where you live or what job you have.

That said, I understand why people are disappointed.
I'm a Carltonians member - almost solely to ensure I get preference for GF tickets. The Carltonians package otherwise (in my view) doesn't provide great value. I spent more home games sitting with my kids and friends in GA this year than in my allocated seat.
The club does have some responsibility here to reassess member rights and finals access in the light of our growing numbers and improved performances on the field.
All members would still have access to good seats. All the unreserved Captains Club for instance. Letting reserved seat home members from all clubs keep their seats would also mean a hec of a lot less crowding online!

Yep that's a crash alright.

Sorry it just read like it was the refresh

Really glad you got tickets 💙

Not sure, I searched Google AFL finals tickets and went to the Ticketek link. Did the same for comp and no issues. Either way, annoying but at least I got tickets. Missed out last week so I know how some feel.

Any seat is good at this point. If we make the GF, I’ll sit on top of light post 3 if I have to.
Mm. Not so good up in the Q's if you are no good with heights. There can be this weird urge you get to jump. You know you won't jump. But it's like a recurring nightmare.
Just no good! a_scary.gif

This was how it was described to me:
Any eligible member can book a ticket in any price category. If there's 20,000 cat 1 and cat 2 tickets available and the first 20,000 people who progress from the queue are three-game members who purchase cat 1 and cat 2 tickets, the allocation is exhausted.

Now, that's a highly unlikely occurrence, but it's the reason they cannot guarantee any level of ticket for any member category - it all depends on when you progress through the Ticketek queue.

That just doesn't sound right.
Was that someone from the club?
That's where my info came from.

The clubs been wrong quite a bit regarding how ticketing works. First in best dressed and member category doesn’t matter. Number of seats you buy is a factor. Always better to choose off the map rather than best available. You get to see what is available and choose to your liking.

With or without a harness?
I would say harnessed!

Normally sit on Level 4 but know what you are saying. As Bletch said, someone accidentally came off level 2 at Marvel just after gates opened think it was the saints game. Sad.

So horrible!

Yes it came from the club.
Maybe my query was slightly different - there's a difference between getting priority through the Ticketek queue rather than priority access to seats once you are in.
Still, it does seem like there's ambiguity over what is being communicated and members of all levels are likely missing out/sitting in undesirable seats based purely on the massive demand - unfortunately there's not much the club can do with a limited allocation.

Also just another post to advertise my interest in buying a ticket. As expected due to work I have missed out.
Check out my post. First in best dressed - want to see it go to a big footy faithful
Did you see someone has a ticket in this thread? The person who is going to a social event.
hey not going to the social event - I just bought the package to guarantee me a ticket (yes I know I paid a very heavy premium but was not willing to miss out) so the Pullman event entry is included in resale

Is it all-in pre-game (~2hrs) event, or just a welcoming drink?
