I clicked Ticketek site on my phone about 9.40 while getting a coffee then logged in the laptop when I got home at home at 9.55. Was able to get tickets on my phone at 10.05 but my laptop was still in queue. Scored seats in forward pocket on level 1. Absolutely rapt to be going along to see the Blues win their first final in 10years

I remember the good old days when it was a military operation to make sure you got finals tickets. Canvas chairs to protect your spot in the queue. Front and back seats of a car for rest breaks. Food runs to keep you fed. People would do this for a couple of weeks. Now you stare at a phone or a computer screen. Lacks a bit of romance these days.

Before that you filled in a coupon in the back pages of The Sun newspaper, popped it in an envelope with your cheque for $35 and mailed it to VFL House. You got back the entire series of final tickets you requested.

I have a dumb question. I have just purchased guest tickets using my Dad's MCC membership number. On my ticket it says the following: What does this mean? I can't get in the ground without showing my Dad's membership card?

The following information applies to MCC Members: Reserved seat tickets for MCC members do not admit to the ground; members must use their membership card for entry to the MCC Reserve.

It's REALLY poorly written.

Visitors use their reserved seat ticket barcode to gain entry to the ground.

MCC members use their MCC membership barcode to gain entry to the ground.

When you buy a reserved seat for an MCC member the barcode on that ticket doesn't work at the gate.

Yep that's how my old man used to do it for our family, 77 VFL Park final series was my first, in those days it was cheques and no queues and now it's queues and no cheques!

Didn't see a dropdown where you can pay a premium for a guaranteed win? You can pay extra for all sorts of other shit though.
