I can imagine a white jumper with navy side panels and a horizontal stripe across the middle so that the monogram is still white.

Sounds like a good design in my mind. I may have to mock one up and see

Could you do it with the horizontal navy stripe over the monogram so the CFC is white?
Thinking side-panels AND stripe may be overload.
Possibly just stripe, going over onto the back, but cut down on the back to go under the numbers.

Wouldn't be much of a clash since there is more primary colour instead of secondary.

Im with you. I dont think they need to step backwards. They need to move forwards and this reverting back to an old logo seems pointless
