, watch if hawthorn footscray melbourne north carlton or even maybe essendon did **** all for 30 years they wouldn't be clubs anymore
Carlton - stuff all for 20 years, and are surviving.
Essendon - lets wait for when they are shit for more than a decade.
Hawthorn - stuff all for their first 35 years of existance, yet survived
Melbourne - stuff all for 50 years but are surviving
North Melbourne - stuff all for their first 50 years yet survived
Western Bulldogs - stuff all for their whole existance yet are surviving

Yes, and now we play in front of crowds of 80k against collingwood. So all the crowd figures were lower over those years. Thanks for proving my point. :thumbsu:
The point still stands that Collingwood and Essendon still got over 50k even if it was a to a ground with reduced capacity. A week later the Blues and Bombers couldn't. Perhaps they are the 2 teams that should be excluded from the Big 4. :p

Firstly, it wasn't raining. It didn't rain 1 drop. Proof that you know jack shit.

Secondly, Richmond didn't draw 50,000 to the game. Richmond AND Carlton did. Your pathetic excuse for a football club draws shit crowds against all but 3 teams......... 3 teams that boosts Richmond's numbers to give their feral no-finals-attending fans some false bragging.

It amazes me how much this upsets you people, your team is fresh off a flag and a choke job GF appearance yet you like other minor team hacks have to come on and try and argue against a point that facts prove true. If 3 teams boost the crowds for us would that not mean that all other Victorian clubs should have the same size crowds when they play those three at the MCG? Obviously they must, so please sir provide me with these facts.

Teams that sell home games are eliminated from the 'big 4'.

It's out of Collingwood, Essendon, North Melbourne, Geelong, West Coast, Fremantle, Adelaide, Port Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane. (Although everything points to North selling again next year)

In no particular order... Collingwood, Essendon, West Coast and Adelaide.

I think it's safe to say that Richmond in the Big 4 is officially dead!
Barely 30,000 at the MCG against a fellow Victorian team
Oh... that's right, their great white hope in Cousins didn't play. That explains it

Barely 50,000 there with Carlton playing for a spot in the 8, in dry weather.

These 2 clubs really do need games on special occasions to get good crowds. Where's the nearly 40,000 odd extra that were there for the round 1 match?
Oh that's right, it's not the opening game of the season.
It's not Cousins' first game for the Tigers.
There's no over-hyped build up for Cousins V Judd.
It's not Judd's first game for the Blues (last season).

The AFL should really look at only scheduling these 2 teams on public holidays, or the opening game of the season.
Even Bulldogs V Pies got more last night, at a crappy stadium

Essendon v Richmond crowd today: 47,412 at the MCG

hahahaha fail.
