Raises an interesting question or two
1-If the AFL don't like this outcome, and decide they will cede from WADA, do the bans apply
2-What exactly happens if we field our full team Rd.1 and the AFL endorses it. Silly hypothetical, just wondering exactly what they can do.
What exactly can WADA do?

Would laugh if the AFL give a big FU to Wada and their stupid code before the season starts haha.

You mean I can take solace in something that used to be fun but has become a drawn out, elongated, ambling process where people are gradually and senselessly eliminated?

Yes, that sounds like a good way to not think about the Essendon drug scandal.

Laverde, Langford, Merrett's, Parish, Francis, Redman, Fantasia, Nyuon, McKenna.
Plenty to be excited about.

Also, we'll still have more fans at games and money than Norf. So lol norf. #allisnotlost

It completely does my head in..

Hurley, Hooker, Heppell, Colyer are the superstars of the team...

Not only that, Stanton was so good last season...

Pears was meant to get his chance to regain form...

Jobe was meant to come back and gain some form..
Yeah man. The fact a guy like Heppell, a guy who walked into the club and immediately made a huge impact, was clearly a future captain from day one, a guy we've seen develop into one of the superstars of the game so quickly and one of the more likable as well will now not play a game for the entire 2016 season, won't be even allowed at the club, will permanently have this next to his name. It just does my head in.

Heppell, Hurley, Hooker. These guys really are the heart and soul of the team. We won't be seeing them around the club in 2016 because they are serving drug bans. It's so hard to get the head around.

All the boys. I just feel so sad. Even Carlisle, Ryder... they both once wore the sash with complete pride...

Hopefully this is the beginning of the end to the saga. Hopefully the EFC will be able to negotiate a settlement with past and present players affected that is satisfactory to all. Hopefully the 12 players still with us don't feel disenfranchised enough to walk away. Hopefully the club can rebuild swiftly and put this behind us as soon as possible.

If there's one faction of the Essendon football club that doesn't need to be punished, it's the supporter base. I can only question the rationality behind the opposition fans who insist that Essendon should be removed from the competition or punished for years to come. We have been served punishments from the AFL and now WADA, we have paid our dues.
