None of what he took (to our knowledge) was performance enhancing. If you start taking Brownlow's away for illicit drug use you're opening up an absurdly large can of worms.

Ben Cousins was taking cocaine regularly throughout his career (including the Brownlow year), which he has openly admitted. This substance is on the WADA prohibited list. If it is prohibited it is irrelevant if it is a PED or not. Yet he made a doco and got a lot of sympathy and no one questioned his medal.

Sidenote: Cousins was one of my favourite players of all time. Not having a crack at him - just the situation.

Well I see a clear and distinct difference. Watson was charged and found guilty of using PED's. Cousins was never charged nor ever found guilty to have taken any illegal substances. He was rubbed out for the AFL's magical rule. They're not comparable situations.

Dodoro has done a great job. I want to focus on his recent work and the youngsters we now have.
