VFL Casey Demons 2025 season

Sounds like Langford doesnt belong anywhere near the AFL for now which is fine. Was always that chance when we drafted him that he might take a bit of time to adjust coz he was never going to get the midfield minutes to build into the game with coach ******** running the same olds thru there constantly. Keep giving him full games in the VFL.

Yeah. Did some nice things today but fitness base isn't there yet.

Don't think anyone put their hand up for senior selection after this match.
No waves of joy were had today.

Let's be honest, outside Langford what is there to be excited about at Casey right now? It's pretty much the same disgusting same olds as last year.

At some point the expected score model surely needs adjusting to reflect that no player at the MFC is actually expected to score, from any position, ever.
Yes they are it's just that they're always behinds. Goals are the MFC unicorn.

Why is Laurie playing midfield at Casey? He will never be able to hack it at AFL level.

Just develop players in their expected position for AFL level so they are not a complete fish out of water when they get a call up.

It's probably similar to what they did with ANB. He was floundering somewhat, so they spent a year getting him to play inside mid at Casey and it turned him around. He found his competitiveness and then when he came back into the AFL side he played a different role but he was very different as a player to before.

To me, Laurie definitely lacks that competitiveness at senior level, so it makes sense to make him work on that at VFL level.
