I thought Ratchard's mother was alright. Sympathised with the other boy and family whilst running the company line about raising her kids right etc.

Not as bad as some you will see with no remorse for her little angel.

Yeh i agree, i think she was quite genuine and its fair enough that she wouldn't have wanted this plastered all over the internet.

List them. I'm sick and tired of people defending bogan scum. Let me go on the record to say: I support people defending themselves. Sometimes, violence IS the answer, the only answer, make no mistake. Sure, Casey didn't choose the most appropriate method to defend himself, but whatever, got the job done, Casey doesn't come across as being knowledgeable in self-defence. What he should have done was thrown some forceful punches, broken the kids nose and shattered his jaw. Whatever the reality of Casey's situation, schools do little to prevent initial and repeat bullying. Parents must teach their kids to be strong, to speak up about bullying. Kids must put an end to bullying quickly and with conviction. Sure, talk to your parents, tell your teacher, escalate the issue, but if all else fails, smash the ****ing bully's teeth out. Don't let it fester where your options are killing classmates or killing yourself. If "proper channels" won't resolve the issue, stand up for yourself.

That sounds awful, is there any articles or news reports around about the incident?

not that i know of. when i was listening to the radio, i thought they were talking about what happened at my school until they mentioned names. i'm pretty sure my friend is too scared to tell, although i'm prey sure his friend did (cos how else would they have suspended the idiot). probably all over facebook but wouldn't have a clue. BTW idiot who did it, had already graffitied a few lockers (with tomato sauce lol) and broken off combination locks earlier that week. apparently his friend was trying to make a fight saying "oh mate, he's flirting with ur girlfriend, go get him!" which he wasn't. so bloody stupid.
