I would at least invite him down to do some preseason training with us so that we could have a look at him. He is only 19-20 and according to my Geelong supporting mate kicked over 50 goals in the VFL this season.

is he any good in a key defensive position? i dont know much about him...

Could be a good replacement for Kennedy. A former All Australian U18 193cm player who can play as a KPF. Has had injuries and lack of consistency but could be ready to turn it around. Cats had to promote him from rookie list or delist...the drawback of having such a strong side. Only 20y old and kicked 51 goals this year in the VFL.

I think it he could be worth it considering we have lost Kennedy and Whitnall.

Last year (2006) Grima played most of the season at full-back for the Geelong VFL side and really impressed. This year they turned him back into a forward.

I hope North have a crack at him because he has plenty of size is relatively quick with good skills.

I am a Grima fan. I remember watching the kid kick a big bag of goals in the U18 Champs about 2 or 3 years ago. I was surprised he was overlooked in the ND.

Worth a go in PSD or even late in ND

Most on the Geelong board are absolutely spewing he has been cut. They must know something.

That fact plus the 'second chance mentality' would be enough for me to take him. Anything better on offer?

Any chance we can get Josh back?

There's absolutely no reason the bloke should've been cut. His only weakness was overhead marking, which is why he dropped into the rookie draft, and he's improved that area of his game to the point it's a strength.

One of the most agile players in the history of draft camp testing... absolutely baffling. Would love to have him.

no thanks
Reasons?

I'm guessing he was cut because the Cats have a glut of forwards on their list.

It was great to hear he kicked on in the VFL.

IIRC, a lot of people said Grima wouldn't be any good because he kicked goals as a manchild playing on short people and would struggle at the higher level.

Can he bring Hollie Grima with him if we pick him up?

we've had a few good players from Geelong Hickmott he turned out ok ;) and of cause Andrew Carrazzo :)
Hope Geelong are spewing for delisting him ;)

i say give Grima a go don't wanna see him become a star elsewhere then we'll see people say wish we had him ;)
better then picking up players over say 28

i agree, wouldnt be a bad idea grabbing a "reject" from the prems! Theres no shame in not cracking a game in that side. He could be a real find -- better than grabbing a reject from a struggling team

Could be worth a punt with the PSD. Failing that, rookie list if he falls through that far.

As someone said, can play down back or up forward. Sounds a little like another footballer I heard of from the mid-80s and 90s. Played 312 games mostly at fullback and also managed to kick 202 valuable goals

Gee, thats a big big call!

There's been some ridiculous cuts this season: Bradley, Tenace, Pfeiffer. - Grima's probably the best though.

He'd be a steal!

I reckon we should take Pfeiffer too if he's available at our 2nd pick.
