I am... im just curious if anyone else is...
I did, are you going?

Hawkins won’t be rested, can’t remember the last time we rested him.
He is better off not having the break, getting a few easy goals this weekend.
Percentage is strong but if we can have a big win that will be extremely important come the end of the season.
You won’t get north at a better time, backline is absolutely depleted

Why are so many people calling for Stanley to be an out?

He had a rest last week. And he has played plenty of crap games over the journey and still been picked the following week, so why would you drop him after he’s played a good one?
IMO alternating Stanley/Conway would be ideal, give 100% knowing you’ve got a week off given where they are both at. No VFL. Can’t play together, this would have them both cherry ripe for September.

If they don't rest Hawkins he breaks the game's record against Port in Geelong. If they do for 1 game then he breaks it in Darwin against GCS.

Surely they don't rest him before that.

Or they rest him twice - including the match up in Darwin...

You might drop the game with that many changes lol..
I doubt it. Our system sustains us. The Ins will make up for any drop off with their hunger. And it might just mean we get across the line against the Lions. So much talk about whether best 22 is I think our squad of 30 is up there with the best and should account for Notth with that team, one win over the course of the season through managing our list overrides any percentage gains.

Haven't seen an offer. I'm 22 years and this will be one of the few games I attend this season.

Stewart wash bashed about a bit last night. Any chance he gets a break this week?

I’m for rotating Conway and Stanley a bit this year.

It’ll be good for both of them.
Yep, Toby needs games to prepare for next year and going forward, and Rhys off a rest is double the footballer he is normally.

He relies so much on his athleticism as a ruck, and his hunger to actually play has dissipated over the years, so much so that we've had to convince him to play on.

Can't blame the guy. He's a family man and has his premiership now, but the best thing going forward for both of them is a rotation most weeks It's a win-win.

I doubt it’ll happen but I wonder if COS is half a sneaky chance to get a game.

I’d think If he had a good VFL game this week that it would be a real possibility.

But probably unlikely given he didn’t play.

In the VFL games I have seen he has been ok as a defender but he is never going to be able to play key position at AFL level this year. When he has been moved to the wing I thought he has struggled. If he was ever going to play AFL this year it would have been as a Blitz style utility and just picked on class but it doesn't look like that is a possibility given our selection squeeze and his VFL form on a wing. Year of development, small taste next year, ready to go year 3 like SDK would be a realistic timeline for him.

Realistically Conway has played 2 games and showed great signs, but was probably beaten in both of them. Hopefully he’ll be a better player in the long run, but Stanley has a part to play in any premiership hopes we have this year.

Conway's main issue in both games was running the game out. I think we're still a few seasons away from him playing four good quarters in a row. But he showed great signs in both games regardless.

They won't put player interests ahead of putting Ws in the column.

And don't call me Shirley
