No, the clear leveller was the airport followed by opening hours! It's the TAR way! Getting too far apart? Opening hours'll fix that...

This ep the leveller was the train. The teams were spread through their flights, blessing and ice challenge until they all caught up waiting for a train.

Is this the first timeteams have been on different flights in this series?

If the girls do win it, surely Renee deserves a 70/30 split of the prize money.
It seems she does the majority of the tasks, all the driving while Sam just sits, watches and plays cheerleader.

They are probably firming as favorites now with the last leg in their home town.

Yeah a shame to see the Cowboys/Farmers go, they were my favourite remaining team.

That sewing task at the end really helped out the girls and screwed up the male teams, although I guess there are plenty of strength tasks in the race which favour the guys like the log sawing.

Not sure who I'd like to win the final now, maybe Jeff & Luke since they are probably the underdogs. Sam & Renae will definitely have an advantage with the final ending in Perth.

Disappointed the cowboys are gone.

Penalties are inconsistent and seem to be made up on a whim. 20 minutes for using a private car, 10 minutes for getting the wrong class train ticket, but 4 hours for running out of arrows earlier in the show? C'mon.

Yeah, 10 minutes was such a limp penalty for a blatant violation of the rules.

"It's just like welding"

:thumbsu::D

Hoping Jeff & Luke get the win.

Also for those who remember the last time they were in Perth for the US series, the lack of taxis caught everyone out big time. Situation hasn't improved in Perth since then so if they have to catch a cab and it's in the middle of the day....they won't be seeing one.

Agree on both counts. Wanted the father and son to go but they won't win it. In that leg, almost everything went the girls way - there was bound to be a task like that sooner or later that would help them.

Didn't agree with the penalities - they seem so inconsistent, but we will never know how far behind the last two teams were from the top 2.

Should be an interesting finale.

Could it have been any more skewed to keeping the girls in the race? Hope they don't win the cash.

Yeah lifting those big ice blocks and pushing them through a crowded market was such a chick's task.

The 10 minute penalty makes no sense to me at all and in the end was maybe the difference between going home and staying. Cant see how they can differ between taking a private car and going 2nd class rather than third. Also would like to know why they didnt take their penalty at the finish mat?

Shame to see the cowboys go, they were definitely my favourites. Enjoyed the episode, I agree that it was about time there was a challenge that favoured the girls (even if they are annoying).

Was it? She just happened to have a sewing machine and know how to sew. Not every girl out there knows how to sew- me for one, I wouldnt have a clue how to do that task.

I think the last few legs have been crying out for a couple of challenges more like that! Besides, these things are plotted out months in advance.
Really liked this episode
- airport strategy
- teams getting split out
- a great change of pace with the sewing task that tested their mental focus just as killer fatigue is setting in
- penalties galore

Good on the girls for making it through - I'm glad there's a bit more variety than 3 teams of alpha males in the final leg!

This.

And credit where credits due- the girls may be annoying, with all their female crap, but they came from last to first ffs. If they were men, I'm sure you'd all be saying something different not "oh the tasks were suited to men" bullshit.

Bloody hell.

And I agree, the penalties- do they pull them out of their arse? Seriously????

And the treams for not taking the plane ride via Rome. 1 hr and 20 min stop over time???? Thats plenty of time isnt it?? You are checked in for the flight, all you have to do is get to the gate, right?

Hey shell,

An hour and 20 minutes may Seem like a lot of tome you have to realuse that you have to get off the plane you were on check out wait for your luggage to be un loaded abd tgen wait for it to come out onto the carousell abd then you have to wait in line check in to the next flight possibly have your luggage scanned and then get boarded it was a close call.

Realy when you think about it its not alot of time and from what i have heard and seen what they said on the show was that rome airport is a nightmare one the most crowded and packed and busy airports in the world.

All these things together im supprised they made it they were very lucky.

I have transferred flights myself- you do not have to check in for the next flight, you do that from where you are at the beginning.

You may just have to transfer luggage, I know I had to do that at LAX.

Bottom line- I would have gotten that flight via Rome. Not sit around at some luxury hotel like some douche. Almost cost them the race.

That ten minute penalty was a disgrace. Blatant breach of the task (ie. they didn't actually complete the task) and a ten minute penalty was far too lenient.

IIRC, didn’t they say the next train was going to be 4 or 5 hours. Good penalty to take but agree, far to inconsistent.

Scott Evil is not looking impressed

I think the next train was 2 hours away... but whatever.

(And LOL at the post above :D)

Fair enough, still a much wiser decision to take the 2nd class ticket and the 10 min penalty over waiting even an extra hour.

and yes, LOL at the pic.

But how did they know it was a 10 min penalty??

So far this season we've had 10, 20, 30, 1 hour and 2 hour penalties?!?!?!?! And also 4?

We just want to know how they come to these times, thats all.

Cause they are pissing me off! ;)

Yeah, it definitely helped that she knew how to use a sewing machine, but (generalising a lot here), girls tend to be better at those crafty/attention to detail things than men, as displayed by the farmer and dad. Heaps of exceptions of course, but compared to a physically draining/strength task like a lot of them have been, it was more favoured towards the girls -which wasn't a bad thing.

Don't they only have carry on luggage?

I don't know but I would imagine before the race, the contestants would receive a list of rules and regulations.

legally wouldn't need to have them written down sort of like a 'Product discloser Statement' to avoid any manipulation or perceived manipulation of the rules.

Great leg. Well done the girls, who showed the sort of class they were showing earlier in the race. For me they are now the front runners.
Sad to lose the farmers, their dry wit was at its peak in this episode. But I'd have been sad for whichever of the four teams lost.
