This one is for you Learmonth....Why on Saturday did you win the toss and decide to kick against the wind?? Ive heard from a few Learmonth boys that they werent happy with that call...Why wouldnt you go with the wind with a clean dry footy, rather than wait til its water logged? You have been pretty quiet on here lately.

Great win for Dtown on the weekend, but i think it shows more for how much Learmonth have slipped than how good D-town are... They will be there abouts come finals but a long way from the Hepburns/Dfords & Ballans lol.

SHREDDA - I nomitate that for the gay'st post on this site possibly ever.
Not sure what hole you came out but might be time for you to crawl back in.

With learmonth's performance's it will be a tight run for the top 6, and some great games between the bottom sides as well, far more competitive than last year!

probably one of AJ's awsome tactics which has worked so well for Learmonth over the last month or so:D

Confuscious say - " Modest Footballer like HOLLYWOOD far better man than pervert with big dick & small brain.''

Do you make a habit of hanging around the showers while the men are in there ? ...... or possibly you maybe a ( jealous) H.F.N.C. person, seeing that you were in the change rooms after the game... whichever the case, it won't take long to weed you out, you tool.

Timmy, timmy, timmy whats going on over there in Burra land? Would like to hear your comments on the following. Rumor around the office is that Daniel James is out for season? Word is that work commitments has taken him back to Darwin for the rest of the year.Mick Stanley carried from the ground in the dying stages of Saturdays game with suspected broken leg?? Is he out too? Sounds to me like the gaps are closing and with Danny Frith returning to the Daylesford line up for the remainder of the season and with Luke Adams allowed to do what he wants with the umpires turning a blind eye to every one of his indescretions it could get a lot closer than people think? Also heard Ross Mann attended the game on the weekend looking a fit as ever, will he be playing this week? Looking forward to your reply.

'' danny frith played for nth ballarat for a few yrs and was assistant coach of geelong football league team bell park. after sustaining a hamstring injury in about round 6 danny, known for his rigorous warm-up routine, went missing has has not been seen around the club since...
went missing as in walked out of the assistant's role?
correct, didnt make any announcement to any of the players just didnt come back. i suppose he told the other coaches and officials but the playing group are still a bit confused as to what actually transpired... the romour is he is on an island beach off Bali sipping back Cocktails with the coin the Dragons paid to get him across!!!
If I was playing with Bell Park I would be happy. Using my experience as a turtle I would say that he was one of the worst to go away with. Didn't give a f**k about the team, just turned up when it suited him, and never hung around or drank with us for the week. So this episode doesn't surprise me at all. Poor luck the Bell Park lads got sucked in.''

CHARLIE - Above archive makes for some interesting reading. Let's hope his previous reputation does not ring true for the Bulldogs, if in fact Danny is going to front up. Obviously, TEAM Mates past, are less than impressed.

As for the "Burra" rumours, they may well all be true and Ross Mann does look very fit.

And TIMMY ? , well he's out with the Search Party, looking for LEARMONTH & MRS. C.H.F.L.

highly doubt mick stanley has broken a leg, he was whacking ponies around at kilmore on monday

has anyone seen this j.jose play football, he is the best ruckman in the league by miles, he's leap is unbelievable.

This forum has gone to shit, the only posts we are getting on here are from a lpfl u17 posters, I miss LEARMONTH and MR CHFL at least they sparked good conversation and spoke with some inside knowledge. Can someone please start some Hepburn/Daylesford banter or something.
Timmy won't comment until after this weeks games and other than that there is nothing going on.

I'm not sure who you are refferring to when you say u17 lpfl posters but if they have something half sensible to say then what is the problem?

If smoothmovers was the one you were talking about I applaud him for bringing up a new subject - mormons. I have a deep seated dislike of people who - after dismounting from a pushbike wearing black slacks, white shirt and black tie - knock on my door extolling the virtues of a religon that forbids me to drink beer or play football on a Sunday. JEREMY JOSE! If you are out there, I reckon you are a great footballer - by far the best ruckman in the CHFL - but if you knock on my door I still won't let you in.

Confusia say, if you are so keen for a bit of conversationon on this thread why don't you start some yourself? To suggest that mr chfl provided inside knowledge shows how bereft of ideas you are. Do you still listen to the radio waiting for a new Elvis song? ( apologies to Shane at the Burra - you may be working on one at the bar as I speak ) Maybe the people in charge at learmonth have finally pulled the tremendous two into line and banned them from posting. Move on. They get bagged for taking the bait and responding on here and blowing their own trumpets and then when they finally **** off you want them back!

Could be the calm before the storm.Timmys not giving anything away and giving Daylesford no amo.Man with nothing to say, say nothing.

Another wise man once remarked-and it wasn't confusia- that every little boy he ever knew couldn't shut up, never knew when to shut his mouth. except when he was afraid!

Sorry boys for being so quiet. I like to think that i reply to most questions, but i must admit Charlie's were some very good ones. I reckon, no matter which way i answer them, people will think im trying to set Daylesford up with a pack of lies, so best to not answer them. Any other week and i would have gladly replied.
Confusia, i agree with Merrigan, if your bored with this site, make up some of your own comments to get everyone started, unless you are a sheep and like to follow the pack!
And no Hepburn / Daylesford mud slinging this week. if i recall correctly most of you people were sick and tired of all the gutter talk between us, but now you seem to want it.
What i can give you is Toby Hughes will be lining up against his old team tomorrow, and Danny Frith was meant to train with the Bulldogs on Tues night but apparently didn't turn up. I ran the post about him by one of our players who was at Bell Park at the time, and it was spot on... Danny shot through. Now i have known Danny since the days that i was playing with Daylesford, and he was just out of nappies and it suprises me to hear it. Maybe he has more important things to do.... Luke Adams has been in Perth all week and flew back for the match today, the rumour is that he will miss the next 3 or 4 games with his work in Perth. Only a rumour though .. .
As for Charlietownsend, where did you get that info from? very good for your first post.. Whichever club your from i hope to hear more.
Im sure after tomorrows bout , big footy will get several comments about the match. hope the weather holds off , and lets hope Hepburn win.

Well still haven't answered the questions but i suppose time will tell!!!
Here's one for you. One of the Beachams had a meeting with the Bacchus Marsh club a few weeks back asking about key backman that may be interested in coming to Learmonth for the remainder of the year.. If Bacchus Marsh didn't have one, Beacham wanted anyone in the area who would be good enough to beat Lee Cox. In Beachams words, it doesn't matter what it costs. Money isn't a problem. they have Hepburn covered but they just cant stop Cox. They have ended up with Paul Kennely from Shepparton, Luke's brother. Hasn't played yet , but he can play by all accounts. Learmonth's problem is they might not get another crack at the "Burn"

Sorry i can not reply to all but i believe that i got my result, sparked a bit of convo and even pulled some out of the wood work, now isn't it better reading when there is actually something to read.

I said a few weeks back I expected Learmonth to pull out the cheque book, the loss to D'town must have shaken their coin purse loose.

I'm really looking forward to the Derby today, I hope it turns out better than the fizzle that was the Hep/Lerm game. And I also want to comment on our league, not many around where any of 7 clubs on its day is capable of winning over a top side, will be a great finals series this year!

Tips this week, should be a good round.

Ballan vs Waubra - But Ballan always a chance of an upset at home.
Clunes vs Creswick - Just, close game
Gordon vs Bungaree - Gordon's fitness could trouble Bunga
Beaufort vs Dunnstown - Always hard to beat beaufort at home, but then again so is learmonth...
Newlyn vs Buninyong - 6 goals
Daylesford vs Hepburn - Too strong, but I would love to see D'ford get up.
Springbank vs Learmonth - 6 goals

This really opens thing up come finals time.Im looking forward to Timmys thoughts on the game
I'll get in first, this is the write up i posted on our web site and in our local newspaper. We are about to cop some flack here this week on todays performance and rightly so.

ONE WORD – EMBARRASSING

As one Hepburn stalwart commented at ¾ time, “I haven’t seen a Hepburn side play this bad for 30 years”. Whichever way you look at it, it was embarrassing, Hepburn supporters expected more, but the side didn’t give a yelp. Daylesford dominated the midfield right from the opening bounce as Hepburn gave away a stupid free kick before the opening bounce. From then on Hepburn couldn’t get their hands on the ball to give their forward line any chance of scoring.
Young Sam Conroy, would have learnt a lot playing against this regions best ever ruckman Scott Winduss, and will learn a lot and be better for the experience. Trevor Johnson worked tirelessly on a wing during the first half until succumbing to injury in the third quarter. Lee Cox was giving his all, but there just wasn’t enough supply coming his way to make an impact. Cox was eventually moved to the backline where he showed his class.
Hepburn’s game is built on pace, but if your not winning the ball, then you will always look slow and that’s exactly what happened as the Bulldogs led Hepburn a merry dance with quick ball movement.
To make matters worse, Nev Purtell looks like spending the next few weeks out with a serious facial injury, after laying a tackle, but receiving an elbow from Luke Adams. Which ever way you try to look at it from a Hepburn perspective, there were no positives to come out of the match. No players won their position against their direct opponent on the day, maybe a couple broke even at best.
Having said that, Hepburn football Netball Club is a very proud club and is used to success. There will be no doubt that the club will be doing everything in its power to never have a repeat performance in 2009.

SCORES DAYLESFORD 20 . 10. 130 d HEPBURN 5. 13. 43

Goals P. Dillon 2 L. Cox 1 D. O’Halloran 1 A. Wedding 1

Best L. Cox G. Byers A. Cimera

Hepburn, every club has a bad day every now and then. And today was your day. But you can at least walk away knowing that you played fairly.
You did not have one of your 'Respected Senior Players' (and I use that term very loosely) knock out someone's teeth, and then receive a free kick for his efforts. You also did not have one of your senior figures threaten to cause harm to one of your oppositions players if they ever see them in public. You kept your eye on the ball at all times and just tried to play football. Regardless of the contents on the scoreboard, you can still walk away with your heads held high and your dignitiy and self respect in tact.

Do any of the Doggie's 'footballers' (and again I use this term loosely) watch the news? (They may not be able to read, but surely they are not all deaf?!) Do they not understand the consequences of their violent and unnecessary actions? How a small brawl and one punch can lead to serious injury and even death? Do they think that they are that invincible have the right to act this way? It is not acceptable. And should certainly not be tolerated by Umpires, let alone rewarded by them.

The worst part is the hypocrocy of the Doggie's players and supporters. Their self rightesnous and audacity to call Hepburn Players thugs and cheats is mind blowing. Last time I checked all Hepburn's raffles were ran fairly and we do not go around destorying pub windows whilst fighting with oown team mates, and our players certainly keep their bread buttered at home.

The Doggie's really need to stop throwing stones in that glass house of theirs before they lose what little credibility they have left.

If they were my sons out on that footy field in a doggie's jumper, I would not only be disgusted with their behaviour, I would certainly not be proud to call them my son.

All I can say is every dog has their day, and I will be cheering loudly when that day comes.

Waubra and D'ford look to be hitting their stride and looking very strong, We know how good Hepburn are, we know what learmonth are capable of, and bunny have some had some big scalps, and D'town can run with them all on their day. GREAT FOOTY.
