Incredibly concerning when there isn't umpires for what is essentially one game....what happens during the season when there is eight games a week?

There are probably near 200 players a week who travel to the area to play footy, maybe we have to recruit in some umpires too.
They can't get source them anywhere.
Someone on the Western Region FL forum suggested the league pay umpires $400 a game to fill the panel with the required number of umpires.

I was told today that one VAFA club is looking for a club umpire and is offering $200 cash paid on the day.

Pretty sure it’s around $200. Clubs have been told they will need to supply a club umpire each week for senior football.

That’s funny! Cause I know him and Kerang coach well and real story (seen Facebook messages) is Kerang coach called him twice after footy season finished but wouldn’t go. Woorinen also tried offering him $2500 a game. Mustn’t be that bad to play with, good old fashioned Nuffie

He was called at the end of the football season by the Kerang coach who is he mates with. Can ask either of them and you'll be told that

that’s hardly ground breaking… good players are called by other coaches all the time.
The question was did he contact Kerang mid season to enquire about switching to them?
He can’t expect there not to be any blowback from conducting himself that way if true.

As previously stated Kerang coach rang him a couple of times after the season was done because they were losing Curnow. They lost by less than a kick when they played and then he broke his hand... doesn't really add up
Dont listen to absolute drop kick nuffies like HavUEvaSeenTheRain, these type of wizards will get you in trouble! He probably kicked 10 on him once.
