VET can you confirm or deny the fact that as a club we are $60k in the red and are struggling to pay all our contracted players as we got a little greedy. Can you also confirm that Livo & Kurt will not be returning next year?

A man with connections in the Bendigo Football League mentioned today that he has heard that Livo could be at Eaglehawk next year

Bloke from Balranald on 3SH during the week picked Balranald by 56 points and I laughed. Incredible scenes saturday. Will Livingston stay after that? Balranald were just too good on the day

Not much being said. Roos brilliant on the day that counts, nobody ever gave them enough credit. Premiers 09. Cop that. Should of won by more....

Did you make a dollar on Sportsbet Dooda?? How many GF losses in a row is that for Filo now?? And what is the rumour going around about Carltons Andrew Walker throwing a full can of beer at a Balranald supporter??

g'day guys jst wondering how lalbert football club went this year?

We improved on the performances of the past couple of years. Managed to win a couple of games and really should have won another couple. Club is in the best position it hafs been for years of the field with great facilities and a stable financial position. If we can add a couple of quality players as well as entice a few more former players back home there will be significant improvement ahead in the seasons ahead:thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

I've heard the rumor was that it was Hawthorns Brent Guerra who threw the can, the person who told me was a reliable source who was standing near the incident. Was it on the wing up the tyntynder side of the ground?

Your source is full of shit, definately wasn't Brent, he was sitting just up from me, nor was it Walker, don't think he was even there? Wish it hit that fukwit in the earhole.

Whats the wash up from the weekend, are kerang in trouble with money? are livo, mcglynn & a few others leaving? where does the club stand next year? who will replace filo as coach?
What about balranald, where do they stand with next year? i hear lloyd, russell, jess have retired, are there any more players departing & who will replace jacka as coach for 2010?

kerang are in deep trouble heard from a very reliable source. Livingstone and McGlynn are off to albury with livingstone tipped to coach. fisher is leaving so there goes the money although they had trouble paying players late anyway. they will really struggle next year with a few young players leaving for various reasons. Nyah look in deep trouble as do Koondrook/Barham? can anyone give me more info on where these two are at?

Why are Nyah in such deep trouble i was told that there were a few players heading out there next season??

No i didn't in the end mate, bad error on my behalf... There was a beer can thrown at a supporter but i doubt it would've been Andrew Walker. And although a Balranald man, probably a stupid move by our supporter... Probably the one , although minor sour note on the day... I'm sure if the scoreboard was reversed and it was a Kerang supporter in front of us, they wood get a few cans hurled back also... Well done to Dane Fitz on winning Balranald B+F, just getting over Eric Kuret in last round... Thriller

Can the CMFL support the spending of clubs to win flags? Balranald and Kerang the two best sides in the league but would have to both have spent the most in the league also. Third was Tooleytang and they would not be far behind. Cohuna spent a heap and still ended up no better than they have in previous years. How can Nyah, Lalbert, KB and others compete with this amount of money. Without being nasty i would laugh if Kerang fell on there face after spending big money and not getting a flag. How is Balranald going to afford to keep going when the wood money runs out. Kuret, Dane Fitz, the Trenfield boys etc don't like Balranald that much, it is the money. No Money, No Players

This is the question being asked around every league in Country Victoria

Every club spends money & only one club is goin 2 b successful! Cohuna won more games this year than they have in the last 3 or 4 years.

Just a question on Kerang Football Club - it seems they cop a fair bit of criticism on this thread for being big spenders, but as an outsider looking in they seem to be playing a lot of younger guys that are either from within the town or the district. Clearly Livingston (ex-local), McGlynn and Pollock? would be on decent money (have I missed anyone here?)- but do they pay all of the locals a wack as well? And if they do is this really as bad as paying a stack of imports?

Roota, meet your new ass. coach J-Funk!!! nice pick up!!

Is there currently a salary cap set by the CMFL for each club? Just a question - but if some clubs are far wealthier obviously it is giving them a much bigger advantage. Does the CMFL need to look at this as a measure to even up the competition going forward?
