It was me. You're looking quite the bonehead now. From today's news.Think he is a long way from player management these days. Don't know where this boneheaded rumour has come from, but I call it patent bulltish.
Would be very surprised if Kelly was even interested in a role like this.
Need something more than the idle musings of a journo. It was me. You're looking quite the bonehead now. From today's news.
I gave it to you a day early.
Not set in stone but I'm hearing Ned has put his hand up.
TLA boss, and former Collingwood great, Craig Kelly could loom large for the Magpies after 26 years helping lead the giant management company.
Kelly’s signature would be a huge coup for president Jeff Browne amid industry speculation the Magpies already have a quality candidate lined-up.
Kelly’s son, Will, is on Collingwood’s list but the Magpies could dodge any issues by leaving his contract matters to football boss Graham Wright.
Wright faced the same situation when he was at Hawthorn and signed Ned Reeves to the Hawks’ list where his father, Justin, is chief executive.
Jay Clark reported it in the Australian yesterday Scoop. It was me. You're looking quite the bonehead now. From today's news.

Unless someone even better is on our radar.
Did you know Mark Anderson was leaving?

Very questionable source.

Matt Stevic?
Former Essendon CEO Xavier Campbell will not be a candidate for the Collingwood CEO position that became vacant last week after Mark Anderson resigned following five years in the job.
Collingwood appointed football manager Graham Wright as interim CEO after Anderson’s resignation with Campbell touted as a potential replacement.
However, he is expected to take a break from the AFL industry for at least 12 months as he develops a beer brand, Travla, and does corporate consultancy work.
Collingwood had a list of people they were interested in pursuing to replace Anderson, yet it was not clear whether Campbell was on that, with the Magpies joining North Melbourne and the Bombers as clubs looking to fill the role.
Yeah, felt like that since it was first mentioned.Sounds like Craig Kelly might be the man according to an Age article today.
Power play: Craig ‘Ned’ Kelly tipped to become Collingwood CEO
The AFL powerbroker, player agent and 1990 premiership player is expected to make the huge move in the new year.www.theage.com.au
Elements of a captains pick too with Browne “running the search”.Would Craig Kelly be good for us in this role at this time, in arguably one of the most influential positions at the club? I know he’s been highly successful, but just when we seem to finally be modernising the club - this feels like a backward move. An old mate, with potential conflicts and connections to maintain?

I hope not, but it'd smell like a captain's call rather than a "process" like we used to find our coach.Elements of a captains pick too with Browne “running the search”.
We could do a helluva lot worse than Craig - Collingwood man through and through and a proven corporate performer.
Saved heaps on A4 paper and printers evidentlyThey got rid of Campbell?
100%. Look at the place this year with fresh voices and faces. Meanwhile Essendon have Sheedy still in the background like Mr BurnsAnd while I’m still mid-rant - Pies fans tend to be happy when we appoint ex-Pies to jobs. I’m guilty of this too. But it hasn’t done us any favours in the past.
