There have been many, many top performances from the man from Daylesford.

1996 vs St. Kilda, round twenty - Grant gave Leowe an absolute bath. Grant had over twenty possessions himself and restricted Leowe to just three.
The best performance from a CHB I have ever seen.

Loewe finished with 2 kicks, 1 mark, 1 hb and 1 goal. Grant took about 12 marks himself, most of them contested against Loewe.

His goal came from outmarking Steve Wallis late in the last 1/4.

Where was Grant? Pushing up to meet the ball carrier, doing the team thing. Grant could have stayed on Loewe, let Gordon Fode keep running in and kick the goal (the game was over in effect) but still put team first.

Another notable was v North in 99. A 5 goal first quarter from the great man, we can all go home now - game over.

Another game against North at Whitten Oval (maybe 96), Grant gives Carey such a bath Pagan moves Carey to CHB to get him away from Grant.

Damn, scooter beat me to member number 29. I have had troubles signing in lately.

While I was watching Chris Grant dominate ten minutes of play against the Lions for Johnno's 250th match, leading strong twice, with two good chest marks, and two dead accurate goals, I thought to myself this is vintage Grant from '94-'01. I continued to think to myself if he is fit for the entire of the 2006 season, there is every chance in the world that he will be up there with Johnno and Eade holding aloft the premiership cup on that faithful last Saturday in September.

There have been many, many top performances from the man from Daylesford.

1996 vs St. Kilda, round twenty - Grant gave Leowe an absolute bath. Grant had over twenty possessions himself and restricted Leowe to just three.

1997 vs Hawthron, round seven - this game will be remembered for all the wrong reasons, but Grant surely dominated this one.

1997 vs St. Kilda, round thirteen - Grant dominated from CHF taking plenty of marks, kicking goals and had Scott West-like numbers.

1997 vs Carlton, round fourteen - again he took a lot of marks, kicked a bag of goals and had a lot of the ball too.

2000 vs Port Adelaide, round three - seven goals from the great one.

2000 vs Sydney, round ten - another seven goals and a dozen or so marks.

2000 vs Essendon, round 21 - say no more.

There have been many, many more, so feel free to post some of your own personal favourites.

Xie - So many good Chris Grant moments as you have listed above and many more more out there. You are Member No. 31 :thumbsu:

And 196 as of today.

Thanks for the update Fossie, his record is approaching rapidly.

So, now we have 33 members in this prestigious club..The Great Man Grant would be very impressed.

Any others want to jump on board?

Sign me up - also haven't read all posts and don't know if its been mentioned but surely the day granty breaks the record Ian collins should be put into the stocks so all Bulldogs supporters can throw stones at him. That arrogant prick shouldn't have got away stealing the brownlow off a man who is 100 times the person he is. Grant - Champ, Collins - Chump

Couldn't have said it better myself The Special One.

Let's hope the Bluebaggers have another ''tragic'' year on the bottom of the ladder.

One of the happiest days of my football life was the day I heard Granty re-signed at the end of 1996. A great role model for society, I plan to name my first two children Chris and Grant (or possibly Libba).

Is multiple society membership allowed? I am already a BHAStard, and a member of the PSLA.

Ofcourse NW2....it is allowed in the CGBLS...we can all admire more than one player at a time. You are Member No. 35. :thumbsu:

Aqua - I seemed to have overlooked this thread, always meant to get on it and haven't yet until now. I apply to be member #35 - Chris Grant is the heart of this club. Captain, B&F, leading goalkicker, symbol, if only he has lots of boys in the coming years so he can populate our flag teams around the 2020s! (I must state up front that I am also a card-carrying member of the PSLA, the SWWRS, and the WTHHTWFAWDHKOG) - is it possible to have a combined membership card for the CGBLS and PSLA with photos of them both arm in arm following a win - does such a photo exist?!

footscray1973 - Yes, we allow multiple memberships here on the CGBLS, I don't know whether a photo of that exists re: your query on Chris Grant & Peter Street, but maybe we can get one during the season and your wish will be realised. You are Member No. 36 :thumbsu: ( sorry, stuffed up on the Member No's.

Yep. That mark wound back the clock considerably, as did his goal off the left foot to clinch the game for us.
If he is playing with the same level of ability at the seasons end I sincerely hope he at least keeps alive the thought of playing on next year.
If the thought of playing on last year was down to the positive signs he saw in the team, I would hope it is even more palpable by seasons end and that he views 2007 as the year he may hang a Premiership medallion around his next.
