Speculation Chad Warner

You are right, I should have known better. he only improved when leaving Freo and was a nobody there.

Thanks for pointing it out.

So if Warner is every bit as neale but neale was pick 6 and 19 but in contract. Then how is warner pick 3 plus everything else?

If it is pick 3, I’d like to see wce trade few spots down. Say to pick 6. And see what swans do then.
Swans dont trade

What does Warner do then ?

Sure but what Sydney can't do is say you have to stay.

Unlike the Bolton trade last year where freo had to satisfy Richmond or no deal would be done
But Stdney can say sorry Chad we are not trading you to the eagles as they cant meet our requirements
you have a choice - Here is a contract or you make a choice to enter the draft and go to Richmond or North

And you don’t seem to get it.

Repeat after me.

Dangerfield.
Who is.
better.player.
only went.
For.
Pick9.and 28.

Keep dreaming about two firsts. Although I did say our future first and hawks first. That’s more than enough.

Problem with freo fans is they overpaid for Bolton and now are looking for justification that it was a right thing to do.

Repeat after me.

Dangerfield was traded before future picks were available

And Sydney get nothing ?

A deal will get done .

Sydney would take a good deal over nothing trying to get a great deal

The Chad has a big decision to make.

West Coast have good draft picks and alot of money for Chad. The trade off is playing in a rebuilding side for the next 5 years and winning minimal games.

Fremantle have their first rounders for the next few years - albeit they will be in the back in of the first round projecting they finish high on the ladder for the next couple of years. Fremantle have also been restructuring players who are already contracted which shows they are making room in the cap for Chad - but wont be as much money as WC can offer.

WC - alot of money and minimal wins.
Fremantle - still alot of money but not as much as WC, presumably a good winning record and playing with ex East Fremantle team mates.

They won't do that and if he went to the draft he would get to west coast anyway.

That's incorrect. It's the first year future picks were tradeable but we took our future 1st off the table by trading it for Lachie henderson.

I'd be choosing Freo if I were him

As a swans fan I’d be happy for them to send him to the draft on principle. And that’s nothing against Chad.

We have free agency conditions for a reason. Chad has not reached free agency and therefore has no real right to dictate where he plays. I’d rather cop the hit and lose picks and send Warner to the draft than get reemed in a deal.

Not only do players hold all the power but they’re choice of club dictates what their original club will get.

We (well most anyway) are supporters of clubs. While it may cost initially I’d rather a club take a stand and wrestle back power from the players. The lasting effects would be massive in player negotiations if a player of warners calibre ended up at north.

If you want to choose where you play, qualify for free agency, other wise try your luck

Erm, Richmond hold Norths first round pick, as a Richmond fan, this is such an egregious oversight, I believe you should cancel your account asap.

"Sorry Chad, WCE are only offering Hawthorn's first and their F1st next year. We'd rather send you to Richmond for free."

Sounds like something someone from an entitled club like the swans would say .

You have had so many hand outs and advantages you can afford to let this one slide

Then next minute

Matty Clarke runs into the room pick #3 on a platter along with Hawks 1st rounder :D
I'm hoping the outrage and back lash the club received not just from its fans but the wider afl community over how clarke operated he will not be negotiating next off season .

Word is pyke made him leave the barrass negotiations

Just less than 2 months ago were you lot not saying that Baker could just enter the draft also ?
It just does not happen.

If Swans dont trade him to the eagles for what they think is his value they will just say sorry chad not happening as the eagles wont trade what they have for him and his option is to sign and stay another year or leave and risk the draft
Swans know he wont do that and the eagles will cough up. they always do

I highly doubt that and that is just made up
Pyke has full confidence in Clarke and he will be dealing the trade other wise he would have been sacked by now
thats just wishfull thinking from eagles fans

I didn't say that about Baker.

The only person to say that on this thread is a swans poster saying 'we would let him walk to the draft for that price '
