Imagine trading someone like that away because of cultural issues while keeping all of the architects and decision makers.
I'm not in on 'the know' but my hunch is Ken Bassett Voss and Chad "have you seen my muscles" Cornes
have left their fingerprints all over this cluster heck.
Listening to Polly politely tip toeing around gameplan being out of sync with the playing list
and Chad talking of a new phase in his journey to be a better player is nauseating.
Join these dot points and you end up squarely at the feet of our coaches.
What a coincidence they're out of town.

Chad didn't pull his finger out, could have been better than he already was, stubborn even petulant
oh and he was gunna piss off next year (insert furrowed brow and knowing nods).
So a rare gifted player is lost to us coz he was different and our coaches found it all too difficult.

S'pose it's that time again where we've got to let it go.... you know move on.
If our recent history is any guide 2019 will be another underwhelming year but hey it's a brutal comp.

Thanks for the memories Chad. Whatever the truth be happy, you deserve it.

One of the saddest things is he misses life membership by a few games.
We don't have a minimum games for Like membership.
To quote the PAFC Life membership page:

"The length of service is just one consideration and does not automatically lead to Life Membership. Those awarded Life Membership have been deemed to have made an extraordinary contribution to the betterment of the PAFC, a contribution that goes well beyond the length of service."

Steven Salopek got Like Membership in 2012 - he played only 121 games...

<edit>
Interestingly, I found this on another page...

"Players must participate in 100 senior games as either an AFL or SANFL (pre-2014) player, and remain active within the club as a player for 10 years."

Wonder which statement overrides the other?

It's a measure of just how lowly our media profile is, that if you read the various comments from the average punter on the AFL Facebook, the general consensus is we've won the trade, with various rationale such as Chad being 'out of form/hardly having a kick for 2 years' to 'not worth pick 15 alone'.

And yet, he'll suit up in Round 1, have an extremely Chaddish 22 disposals and 2 goals, and will be proclaimed the steal of the summer.

Go figure.
This is why I'd love to know more about the role of player managers right now. If they're involved managing post-AFL career, then it's in their own interest to move their clients to Vic teams to maximise their hype and exposure, at the expense of the non-Vic clubs, obviously

As a leader, you must be filled with energy and eagerness, joy and love for what you do. If you lack enthusiasm for your job, you cannot perform to the best of your ability. Industriousness is unattainable without Enthusiasm. – John Wooden

Not at Port Adelaide. Its 10 years service not a set number of games. Is 3 years short.

Looking forward to the draw. Hope we play the Hawks twice. Will take a certain perverse pleasure in watching him destroy us and the questions that our illustrious 'leader' will have to answer after he does.

Actually wait, I cannot listen to a word that buffoon says anymore without wanting to vomit.

Sad to see Chad go, but I'm over it already. This would be 6 to 8 if it were Jonas.

No need to be rude. I was just curious if we would get any son of his as a father son. Sheesh.
He played 100 games so we would. But if he plays a hundred games for Hawthorn his kids would be eligible for them as well, and despite him saying 'no bad blood', I don't think his relationship with Port is very good at the moment
