This one?

If two clubs think your asking price is too high, it probably is. You are in a situation where you need to sell. Scream and shout all you like, but that’s a given.

Whether it’s because he plays too much Fortnite or he just doesn’t do what the coaches ask of him, or something else. Your club wants him gone. Feel free to ask whatever you want, but if he is on your list next year, you have shot yourself in the foot.
Oh, I'm not a sitcom writer?

As I said Port, like any club has the right to ask for overs it's how the Weller and Gibbs went. and guess what that still got done. Sounds like Hawks are willing to pay overs offering up Burton and as reported pick 15, supposedly Port want more and there's nothing to suggest Hawks have backed off.

Seems like the type doesn't he, in the clouds doing his own thing. Looks like his feelings have been hurt by Port and he has cracked the shits. Clarko has swept in to catch Chad like a creepy rebound boyfriend waiting for a lover's quarrel. Clarko doesn't even ask questions, just holds him close. Caressing him, stroking Chad's ego and hair. This unlocks a version of Chad that hasn't been seen before, next level wizard shit. Turns out, all Chad ever needed was love.

Poetry on big footy....who knew.

All you're missing here is Clarko crooning some lullaby to the Chad on his guitar....maybe at the foot of Chad's Rapunzel balcony, late at night.

Well it’ll be after our first pick so wherever we finish and looking likely to be out of the 8 which would be top 10.
Will need to be on 950k+ a season to get band 1 next year. Possibly more, doubt he'll attract that, so end of 1st round is the more likely outcome.

If Chad really wanted to come to Hawthorn his manager would be saying trade us this year or he walks for nothing next year. But he hasn't, so I still have doubts a trade will get done, otherwise he'd do more to move the balance of Power in the trade negotiations into Hawthorn's favour.

I've also heard a rumour that with the arrival of Lycett, and being on a front ended contract that Wingard will be just outside the top 25% paid players next year at Port and as a result will be an unrestricted free agent if a trade isn't organised this year.

Ah, the troubles of a spoon-fed generation.

You generally have to pay a 40% premium to move up to the higher draft picks (1-5). 10 and 15 won’t do it.

What? You don't know that, you're not part of the comitee that decides compensation.

Chad Wingard would be an overwhelming favorite to get band 1, and in the event he doesn't get a big offer, Port would just match.

Where is Ken Hinkley right now?

He could be with the medical team, as he wants to talk to Burton re Port..:D

HAWTHORN defender Ryan Burton will undergo a medical test on Monday as he contemplates moving to Port Adelaide to help facilitate the Chad Wingard trade.
Burton is holidaying in the United States but members of Port's medical team will test him in Las Vegas on Monday (Australian time).
It's understood Burton, who was blindsided by the Hawks' decision to put him on the trade table, is warming to the idea of moving home to play at Alberton.

Remember when they said he's Ports version of Dusty? Lmao.

I think it's kind of a miracle he isn't getting traded tbh. I'm looking forward to him continuing his faux-tough guy act while shanking everything in sight for many years to come.
Yeah, nearly everyone did. His first was really, really good some of his fend offs were just as good and he was the 2nd most for doing it. Heck he didn't finish 3rd in the rising star in one of the better years for it for a reason. Unfortunately this year he went backwards. it will be interesting to see what he does next year.

The fend off is the only similarity though. His skills are nowhere near Martin's.

Yeah apart from their big bodies, able to go forward and score and as you said the fend off. They're nothing alike. He was 19 last year and looked to grow into a Dustin Martin type.

As we know that idea took a turn for the worst this year.

There are plenty of midfielders that can kick goals that don't get compared to Martin.

There are certainly plenty of comparisons between the two, in his first year of footy SPP was #2 for broken tackles and fends offs, behind only Dusty. For a first year player that was phenomenal, he can kick goals from 60M from a standing start (1 or 2 steps) has a remarkable low penetrating kick.

To try an write him of after some second year blues is simply just ignorant, for what its worth his clearances per minute early in the year was second only to Cripps.

That happens with young players though. Burton wasn’t as good as 2017 as well, hell, you could argue that McGrath didn’t follow up as well as last year. SPP is a fine player imo. Still young.

Was that the year he winded himself tackling Richard Douglas?
