Yeah, I would of taken him off. It's a bit strange that Bonucci has been kept on the pitch on a yellow card in the final 20 minutes. More likelier to get a second yellow as it is Monaco scoring another 3 goals.
Then they shouldn't have conceded so many in the first leg. Away goals give the away team an incentive to attack, rather than parking the bus and trying to do the job at home.I am firmly in the "away goal rule needs to feck off" camp. You have teams like Atletico Madrid needing 3 goals in one half of football to overturn an aggregate deficit of 2 goals. It is absolute bullshit.
Yep, nothing wrong with the current systemThen they shouldn't have conceded so many in the first leg. Away goals give the away team an incentive to attack, rather than parking the bus and trying to do the job at home.

I know what you're saying. But just think about what you just said and the fact that the same away goals rule also applied to the 6-6 tie between City and Monaco.
He's suggesting the away rule encourages attack. You citing a game where just that happened isn't exactly undoing his point lol.
Tell me, if the away goals rule is good for football, how is it fair that a team could draw the home game 1-1 and the away game 0-0, yet go out? It doesn't need to be a 6-6 tie.
Or in 2003, when the Milan clubs met in the semis and after 2 draws, AC Milan went through to the final on away goals (1-1). They play in the same bloody stadium!
The rule was brought in to encourage the away side to attack, but the home side is now terrified to attack in fear of conceding the away goal. When an away goal is worth more than a home goal, why risk it? So the home team doesn't attack and the away side is happy with a draw, what follows is brain numbing football between 2 teams that don't think it's worth attacking.
This mornings game ended when Real Madrid scored and every player on the pitch knew it. They were simply playing out the second half as it was a foregone conclusion at that point.
I see that you have a very simple view of football.

You will realise just how terrible the rule is if the team you support are ever in a position to go out on away goals.
I like the away goals rule. It's not particularly fair but it makes for some exciting ties.
It used to be a real problem in European football where the away side would quite regularly park the bus in the first leg knowing 0-0 was a great result.
They can't really do that any more.
In who's definition was there a goal scoring problem in European football before the away goals rule was introduced in 1965? No one was parking the bus in the 10 years of the European Cup before the rule was introduced. Back then there were massive score lines in football. Quarter and Semi Final's that contained up to 10 goals most seasons. The rule wasn't introduced because there was a shortage of goals.
Is it fair that two teams could draws both legs of a Semi Final 3-3, go to extra time, the away team scores in the 115th minute and the home side needs to score twice in the final 5 minutes? It's an outdated rule that ruins matches.
3. none from open play. How many goals have Juve conceded in the champions league this season?
