Williams all the way stradnica doesn't have many AFL qualities.

Stradnica does well at wafl level because he is bigger than the other rucks . Once he doesn't have that advantage he is just a plodder .

No point at scraping a few more stoppages wins at the expense of not pumping games into BWilliams.
Our 'pumping games into Williams' saw him attend 52% of centre bounces as our apparent #1 ruckman. A mid-sized (despite his nickname) Dixon was there 48% of the game.

He may come on, but Williams either isn't quite up to it now, or will never be. If it is the first option then we are in danger of Jack watts-ing him (playing him too early, not the swimming stuff).

If Strnadica is ready, and fit, then he should play (Williams or Dixon 2nd ruck. Probably Dixon on current form).

Maybe our 2 talls could try spoiling first and a fleeter of foot group of smalls could rebound the footy!
Good idea.

Only problem is that...
1) we don't have a fleeter of foot small, let alone a group of them, and
2) we rank 18th for competitive ball gets for a reason.

McGovern now injured? What was he doing during covid protocols? Or typo?

Barich reporting Dixon injured so maybe the club graphics team going as well as the players are onfield?

Interesting decisions. Good to see O'Neil and West coming back in. Clearly Langdon and Jones didn't do enough. Good to see Strad's in.

O'Neill and West back in is only a good thing if they are playing in the midfield and not languishing on a forward flank

For them to not play HFF we would need Shuey or Kelly to play there (which would be excellent). I highly doubt the coaches would allow that though.

We seem a bit tall with Waterman in, but I think the changes are rewarding form, which is a good policy to have.

mmm

The Gov haters will again see why we pay him. Lucky their forward line isnt at full strength. Best avaiable perhaps, but no team with Waterman is going to fire on all cylinders. Pace will hurt us.

Again a time for a few to show their worth.

Good to see those ins
West and O'Neil need to be played, move shuey to a hff.
Interesting to see what strnadica can bring to the table. Hopefully they play him as the No1 ruck.
Neslon back to the backline with rotham out

Right call to bring in Strnadica.

Feel like Dixon is very unlucky to be dropped ahead of Bailey Williams though.

XON should have never been dropped.

I would have given Jamaine Jones another week but he has been a complete passenger since his brilliant round 1 performance so he can't have too many complaints.

Added some extra midfield rotations. Thank god. Hopefully we use Shuey in a hybrid forward-mid role.

Why is McGovern listed as an out when he didn't play last weekend?

EDIT: Dixon is injured. Play On.
