Backmen: I would guess Suban (interchange currently) makes space for Dawson (no that doesn't mean I think they play the same position, just that we were down a key back last couple of weeks and the weakest flanker misses out as a result)

Mid: Fyfe in for Mzungu or subcliffe (currently interchange).

Forward: clarke out, Mayne in

Hope Gu makes way for Neale but think Neale may not make the cut as Gu goes for Fyfe anyway, unless Spurr goes out.

Anyone think deBoer is a chance to be dropped? He's named on the bench and he never is. Not that I think he deserves to be dropped at all...but it just seems a bit weird. I'm probably looking into it too much.

issues around a couple of concussions in a row. we seem to be taking the cautious approach.

Not to mention it's getting difficult fitting so many players in without sacrificing players of equal quality, these must be the best in's all year :thumbsu:

Maybe it's unlikely but I really hope Ibbo/Suban/Duff are cut before Suttcliffe and Spurr.

Surely the 3 SA boys in Neale, Sufcliffe and Spurr would all play, but I tend to agree with others that Sutcliffe at least, may miss out. Shame though as he's been going well from limited opportunities, and on a ground that he'd know well, one would think that he'd go alright.

at some time confidence in sutcliffe/neale/spurr will go past these fellas if they don't work harder.

Spurr and Suban are definitely out IMO. Spurr while he has been OK, lacks a bit of urgency/ intensity in a contest. He ran around by himself a lot the last 2 weeks so I think some may inflate his performances. He did improve his intensity against Melbourne but with players returning, it's unfortunate but someone has to miss out and he has players ahead of him.

Suban unfortunately offers very little.

The third out will be Mzungu, Subcliffe or Neale. I have a feeling that Neale will be left out despite his performance in the WAFL as we already bringing in Fyfe into the midfield.

With Fyfe in, he pretty much demands a spot on ball. So De Boer goes onto the bench to rotate through the midfield.

He has been pretty quiet the last few weeks. Doing a few good things but not getting a lot of the ball... certainly not as much as a month or so ago. Think he's either been asked to play a more defensive role at stoppages, or he's hesitating to go for it. He'll play this week, but a couple more weeks like the last couple and he'll be a good chance to play WAFL.

Though why Duffield gets a free ride, on the wing of all places, is beyond me. I know the teams list is more like scrabble than anything, but I would guess that Ross is trying to put as many good users of the ball on the wings and forward flank as possible. He might be thinking that our disposal over the last few weeks has to shape up if we're to avoid being destroyed during the derby.

Either that, or Duff has nude photos of the Boss.

Agree with others that Sutcliffe, Suban and Spurr are the most likely to miss. Sutcliffe would need a whole game or two in the WAFL to get his running back up if nothing else. Reckon there's a chance that Mz will get the sub, but Neale would be the most likely candidate.
