Like others have said; Im sure it will be Adams/Noble for McStay. It's a structure we have gone with most of the year. It's not unusual.

Frampton and Krueger are not needed and neither of them are McStay.

The Howe forward contingency plan at the end of the year is looking genius lol

Go pies

They have the most potent forward line in the comp. Of course we will be respecting them and trying to shut it down.
But we still have to kick a winning score and play the system we know how to play. We can't suddenly transform into playing like Sydney circa 2012.
Spot on, the midfield battle could determine the outcome. I saw last night that are an outstanding footy side but I still think GWS is a better side than them

Like some others have already stated I'd start Markov on Cameron as he's less inclined to be drawn to the marking opportunity like Quaynor.

Quaynor is a great defender and a better player than Markov but Cameron is so dangerous at ground level we need someone prepared to stay down and sacrifice their offensive instincts to play a complete lock down role.

Quaynor can be the back up option.

Apology for posting on your grand final post. Personally i think you are good enough, entertaining and well coached that it would be a football shame if there was any odorous smell of the type i posted on the port site:

Last quarter counted 6 infringements to gws players which could have been free kicks to 1 for collingwood. The video just imo highlights the obvious frees that could/should halve been paid. I think that in finals/grand finals the saying is that umpires put the whistle away generally. But in this finals they to have seemed to put the whistle away for one team and not the other. How can you account for this, noise of the crowd, home ground advantage, human error by the closet umpire, inexperienced umpire in a final, had vision restricted by fly in eye, sun glare, somebody from the crowd flashed one of those ray thingee into the umpires eye at that exact moment, the spittle from an enraged collingwood supporter hit them in the face, had an anxiety attack.

The proud collingwood football club is good enough with its huge and passionate supporter base to win on the talent, effort and desire the team brings without anything else.

When a football figure like Luke hodge does not hold back re the above there could be reason to pause of how you would like to celebrate the grand final win of 2023

F**k off.

Given what Our coach has done all year it can be only one change in Frampton for McStay. He starts forward with Cox in the ruck and then they swap. I don’t see our defence changing one bit nor should it as it’s been impenetrable. I’d dearly love to see Tay for Lipinksi as that would strengthen us significantly but there is little hope given Macrae’s vernacular (’it will go down to the wire’). This is the most primed team I can ever remember in a GF. Let’s all support every point, tackle, mark and let’s get our boys over the line.

This belongs in the BF hall of fame. What a post.

Frampton coming in as a like for like swap for McStay is the least disruptive thing we could do. Once you start talking about going with a small forward line, or putting Frampton down back and throwing Howe up forward, you run the risk of unsettling the whole team.

As for Krueger. No. I could just see him coming off before half time clutching his shoulder and the rest of us saying "what the f#ck were they thinking selecting him?"
Frampton is in no way shape or form is close to like for like for McStay in the forwardline. Kreuger is the only player capable of providing a similar contest up forward.

Hodge was laying the foundation because he knew his team would play Collingwood.

There were 6 gws and 3 pies missed in the second half. But yeh that cost them the game and not their sh1thouse goalkicking 🙄

The Master is saying bring in Frampton

Play him forward on Harris Andrews and tell him to defend him

Don't mess around with the backline or bring in small for a tall

Micky also wants to give the goal umpire from 2002 a whack

Gave Bucks a clip for being indifferent to team morale before Fly took over

Mickey's GF verdict: Collingwood win, they know how to the job

Good enough for me
Given Mick’s record in replacing talls in a gf we should pick Kreuger instead.

Big Billy in for McStay would be my only change. I'm not sold on how Adam's hamstring would hold out. Frampton has some great versatility as well. Given Brisbane's forward line, we need Howe playing back.

But i'm sure the coaching staff will know our best line up for Brisbane.

Is that you Ken?
see you have some spare time on your hands but jog on mate, we’re still busy.

Freddy of course

Careful of optimism bias here - the sense that something that you haven’t seen must be oh so much better than something you have.

Krueger is 24 years old and has only played 9 games total of AFL football for a total return of four goals, FOUR!!.

For six of his games he was either subbed off (4) or subbed on (2). For context he has played the same number of full AFL games - siren to siren - as Aiden Begg. Or Harvey Harrison.

Of course emerging players have gotta come in sometime. But not for a Grand Final they don’t, especially when there are other more experienced, battle hardened players available. Who have experience playing against Brisbane. Who are also tall. And who also have kicked goals.
