Please let Taylor be OK; it would be a tragedy for him to miss, but surely we are not suggesting that Jen should not report what a player allegedly told her? If Jen has gained the confidence of certain insiders and journos and maybe players, surely we should be celebrating that. Keep it up Jen.

All week you’ve been making the case which I agree with, that Lippa is very damaging linking up and hitting targets I50.
Why would we then move him into Adams’ grunt role and lose that important contribution to the team.
Do you really think he’s more damaging in the Adams role?
That’s your terminology not mine. I would define it on the basis of role within structure. For instance Naicos through the middle will play the “Mitchell” role as the primary extractor, but he does it completely differently. What I expect would happen if Adams were to go out is that Lipinski plays more of the role he did v Geelong where he was up the ground further and more heavily involved in the play. There’s no such thing as a grunt role.

Stoods: you have much explaining to do.

Did you go outside, turn around three time and curse? And spit?

Now is your chance to right your wrongs.

Lets hope for the best. I'll keep an eye out on mon. wed next week
But we'll know by tuesday from the injury report.
We’ll know well before then. This’ll be the biggest Collingwood story leading into the PF so everyone will be chasing it. I think we’ll know before the first bounce tomorrow night.

John Ralph's mail is that if GWS win tomorrow then the AFL will make their prelim final vs Pies on Saturday twilight. Reason being that it would be unfair on Giants to only have a 6 day break, given all the travel they would have done.🤬🤬😡😡
That is actually fair enough. It’s really not that big of a deal. Saturday is better for the supporters as well.

What point are you trying to make, TFT? Are you saying Pendles is washed up and should be dropped but won’t be coz he’s a sacred cow?

Personally I think it’s an indictment on the rest of the team that we still rely on Pendles so much. At this stage of his career he should be able to cruise around the half-back line without much responsibility, I’m Luke Hodge-style, without having to push up into the mids to save our bacon when the game is on the line. Guys like Crisp, Lipinski, DeGoey and Jaicos should have fully taken over from Pendles by now but haven’t shown the consistency.

Sent from my iPhone using BigFooty.com

Crisp is a 2 x BnF winner and Jaics an AA.

The point is that Pendles is a freak.

That is such bullshit if GWS win the afl could flip the games !! Should have finished higher on the ladder if they didn’t want to travel!!!!😡😡

Michael Voss said in his presser that they're playing Saturday.

He was asked multiple times about it and said definite Saturday but unconfirmed time.

Ralph is just trying to stir the pot and from reading this thread, it's working.

Forget I said anything. thought I'd share what I was told. But who knows, could be wrong..

Lets wait for the injury report.
You know you’re on the right side when the bad guys come gunning for you.

You do you.

It actually is for our preparation. The club’s scheduled training and yesterday’s hitout around a Friday PF I’m already a touch nervous around a 15 day break and 16 ratchets that up. I’m less concerned with the break into the GF, but also how is it right that Carlton could potentially be watching who they’re playing in a GF from Princes Park as Collingwood and GWS belt the living suitcase out of each other? Lastly Friday is better for me Saturday arvo matches are a mess.

I take your point re preparation. I think if GWS get through, both games would be on Saturday. Ours would most likely be 3:20, which gives enough time for the pregame stuff before the Bears’ game at night.

You can never guarantee anything, but I would be truly shocked if both are Saturday because of the broadcaster and the potential of a team arriving home on the Sunday. For it to work they’d need to be 1:10 and 4:35.

Whatever time the prelim is scheduled- no excuses

They should be in tip top shape, raring to go against a power/giants team that have had to play intense football for many weeks in a row

Literally no excuses for losing a prelim if they somehow do

Sco you’re being obtuse and disingenuous.
You know full well what the grunt role is. I’m talking about the fierce physical attack on the ball at stoppage, or centre clearance, to gain first possession or stop opposition exit with manic tackling pressure.
You prefer to use extractor, but by definition such players must have grunt. Eg Oliver, Petracca, Green,Cripps

I refer you to Adams’ first quarter against Melb as evidence of grunt.

You need to do a better job to convince me that Lippinski is capable of that grunt role.

I think you’re being straight up ignorant. No one offers the competitiveness Adams does so what you call “grunt role” is just Adams. I don’t need to convince you of anything because you’ve got NFI.

Stop being precious - you’ve already been taken to task by others recently about your arrogance.

You chose to ignore the existence of the well known terminology “grunt”, and then say I have NFI for using it.
Please mate lift your game, no ones buying that rubbish.

And again I don’t see Lippa having Adams competitiveness/grunt to fill his role at stoppage. Therefore we need another solution if he misses.

Now if you can calm down, and be respectful I’m keen to hear your view.
